Director Ryan M. Andrews is excited to attach American Mary star Tristan Risk to a powerhouse ensemble cast of Canadian talent in Save Yourself, shooting this summer. Risk joins the previously announced cast of Jessica Cameron (Truth Or Dare), Ry Barrett (The Demolisher), Tianna Nori (Clean Break) and Sydney Kondruss (The Drownsman).
Regarding Risk, Andrews says; “The Soska’s film American Mary was arguably the biggest indie film of last year and Tristan Risk’s character ‘Beatrice’ was a stand out performance. The character was so unique and interesting. Risk played it perfectly, and to have a talent like her bringing her edge and attitude to Save Yourself is truly exciting. »

Rue Morgue Cinema and Raven Banner Entertainment are proud to welcome guitar legend and film producer Slash (Guns N' Roses, Nothing Left To Fear) as executive producer for the western thriller Cut Throats Nine.
Attached to the project are stars Mads Mikkelsen (The Hunt, "Hannibal"), Harvey Keitel (Reservoir Dogs), Julian Richings (Man of Steel, X-Men: The Last Stand), Kris Holden Ried ("Lost Girl," "The Tudors"), writer/director Rodrigo GUDIÑO (The Last Will and Testament of Rosalind Leigh), and producers Marco Pecota and Jake Koseleci. Production is slated to commence in late 2014.

Cut Throats Nine - Rodrigo Gudino's long-mooted remake - has attracted another star: Slash, guitar legend and producer. He'll join previously announced cast members Mads Mikkelsen, Harvey Keitel, Julian Richings and Kris Holden Reid. The film is a Rue Morgue Cinema and Raven Banner Entertainment production. Filming is expected to begin this year on the western/thriller. Gudino previously helmed The Last Will and Testament of Rosalind Leigh.

The team behind "Hellions" an upcoming Halloween horror film about a girl who is harassed by vicious trick-or-treaters, have announced their Hellions Horror Video Contest. The contest invites aspiring filmmakers to submit a two minute film, trailer or scene of any kind as long as it's scary and fits the theme: Red. Contestants have until Feb. 28 to submit. The first round of the competition will be judged by audience members who can vote to choose their favorite submissions. The final round will be judged by Bruce McDonald, director of "Hellions," director Rodrigo Gudiño, ("The Last Will and Testament of Rosalind Leigh") and director Jason Eisener ("Hobo with a Shotgun"). The winner of the contest will be invited to the "Hellions" premiere and will have their work featured in some context in the film.
