‘Baahubali’ Helmer Sets Next Two Films

S.S. Rajamouli, the director of many Indian blockbusters, including the “Baahubali” franchise, has revealed some details of his upcoming films.

“Baahubali 2: The Conclusion” is playing in Busan in the Window on Asian Cinema strand.

Rajamouli will work with Telugu superstar Mahesh Babu in a yet-to-be-titled project for producer K.L. Narayana. The film is likely to roll in 2019. Narayana’s credits include “Kshana Kshanam,” “Hello Brother” and “Rakhi.”

Babu headlines current hit release “Spyder.”

Prior to the Babu project, Rajamouli will direct a social drama for producer D.V.V. Danayya, whose credits include “Desamuduru,” “Julayi,” “Cameraman Ganga Tho Rambabu” and “Naayak.”

“I don’t know which language it is going to be in and who is going to be in the cast, yet,” Rajamouli told Variety. “I have committed to Danayya and that will be my next.”

Danayya is currently producing “Bharat Ane Nenu,” starring Babu.

Jackie Chan’s Kung Fu Yoga Hits Theaters January 2017!

One of the most awaited foreign films of the year, Kung Fu Yoga, will hit Chinese movie theaters on January 28, 2017. Legendary comedian, martial artist and cultural icon Jackie Chan leads this Sino-Indian film. With him are Bollywoood superstars Sonu Sood (Arundhati (2010) and Julayi (2012)) and Amyra Dastur (Anegan (2015) and Mr. X (2015)). The film is directed by frequent Jackie Chan collaborator, Stanley Tong.

With a reported budget of $65 million, Kung Fu Yoga promises to be a hilarious and action packed extravaganza. The film follows celebrated Chinese archeology professor, Jack (played by Jackie Chan) as he searches for ancient treasures scattered all around the world.

Kung Fu Yoga is part of the three-film agreement signed between the two nations during the visit of the Chinese President Xi Jinping to India last 2015. CatchNews adds that the Sino-Indian film boasts hair-raising action sequences, plus as much hilarity and fun one can expect from Jackie Chan.

Chennai, April 14: Actor Allu Arjun, who is currently basking in the success of Telugu actioner "Race Gurram", has named his newborn son Ayaan.

"Arjun has named his son Ayaan. The family will soon release the pictures of the baby," a family member told Ians.

Ayaan was born April 4 to Arjun and his wife Sneha Reddy. The couple got married in 2011.

Meanwhile, Arjun is currently busy working on yet-untitled Telugu project with director Trivikram, who had earlier directed "Julayi" with him.

Hyderabad, April 4: Telugu actor Allu Arjun and his wife Sneha Reddy became parents to a boy here Friday.

"It's a baby boy for Allu Arjun and Sneha Reddy. The mother and the baby are healthy and doing absolutely fine," Arjun's manager told Ians.

Arjun, who started his cinematic career with 2003 Telugu romantic-drama "Gangotri", has also starred in films such as "Desamuduru", "Badrinath" and "Julayi".

He is currently awaiting the release of Telugu actioner "Race Gurram".

The actor married Sneha in March 2011.

Devi Sri Prasad to groove with Pawan Kalyan
Chennai, Aug 8: Southern composer Devi Sri Prasad will be seen matching steps with Pawan Kalyan in a song in his upcoming Telugu action-drama "Attarintiki Daaredhi".

"Devi will be seen grooving with Pawan sir in a song called 'Ninnu chudagane' in the film. He will only feature for a few seconds. It will be more or less a cameo," the film's spokesperson told Ians.

In the past, Devi has made cameo appearances in songs in Chiranjeevi's films such as "Shankar Dada Mbbs" and "Shankar Dada Zindabad".

In Allu Arjun-starrer Telugu action-drama "Julayi" also, he featured in a special number.

'Attarintiki Daaredhi' trailer celebrates entertainment
Chennai, July 20: High on commercial value, the slick trailer of Pawan Kalyan-starrer Telugu action-drama "Attarintiki Daaredhi" is a mix of action, comedy, romance and drama in appropriate proportions.

The trailer, which released Friday, promises that the film will entertain audiences when it hits the screens in August.

Directed by Trivikram, who is known for action films such as "Athadu" and "Julayi", "Attarintiki Daaredhi" appears to be an out-and-out entertainer with an apt tagline "celebration of entertainment".

The film will be the second collaboration between Pawan Kalyan and Trivikram after blockbuster.

Producing films not a child's play, says Danayya

Chennai, Jan 20: He may be one of the successful producers, but D.V.V. Danayya finds his job most challenging and adds that making movie is not only about financing a project.

The man behind hit Telugu films "Desamuduru", "Dubai Seenu" and "Julayi", recently released Telugu action-drama "Naayak", which has become a huge hit at the box-office.

"Many assume producing is merely about funding a project but there is much more to it. There are so many things a producer needs to keep in mind and it's highly challenging," Danayya told Ians.

"From budgeting to managing call sheet to travelling to locations, there are so many things that are handled by a producer. It's not a 'sit in a corner on a chair' kind of job," he added.
