Alec Baldwin dropped some yuge news during his Wednesday appearance on The Ellen DeGeneres Show. Apparently, President Donald Trump turned down a request to appear on Saturday Night Live when Baldwin hosted earlier this year.
“I can’t imagine what it would be like if I met him , if I ran into him,” Baldwin, who impersonates Trump on SNL, told host Ellen DeGeneres. “When we did the show — when I hosted SNL this season — we asked him to come. We invited him to come, we were so hopeful he would come, but he didn’t show up.”

This will be Baldwin’s 17th time delivering the monologue from the stage at Studio 8H, giving him a new record for most times hosting the show. Ed Sheeran will be the musical guest for the occasion.
Baldwin’s hosting gig puts a probable tweetstorm from President Trump in the forecast. Nearly every Baldwin appearance as Trump has drawn criticism from the man who now resides a 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue.

Donald Trump took aim at NBC's Today on Wednesday, claiming the morning show is "doing so badly compared to its glorious past."
The president-elect had previously criticized NBC News, home to Today, on his Twitter feed, calling the news organization "fake news" for not crediting him for the recent job-creation announcements from companies such as Ford, General Motors and Lockheed Martin.
"Totally biased @NBCNews went out of its way to say that the big announcement from Ford, G.M., Lockheed & others that jobs are coming back...to the U.S., but had nothing to do with Trump, is more Fake News," Trump tweeted »
