IMDbTV Pick: Showtime's "Penny Dreadful"

The subtle trick Showtime's "Penny Dreadful is that it is far less about the blood, gore and the specter of gruesome death than the sharp pain and exhilarating pleasure of living, and the terror of feeling alone even in close company. Read our review in the May Picks section.

Initially meant only as a cinema-style tag following "The Chronicles of Meap - Episode 38: More than Meaps the Eye" (not meant to be fleshed out into an episode), the demand of fans to turn the enjoyable pseudo-trailer into an actual episode succeed: Meap revisits Earth to enlist the aid of Team Phineas in finding a long lost deposit of Cutonium before the nefarious Big Mitch can lay hands to it and succeed at turning himself into the most irresistibly cute being in the universe. Conquest of cuteness
19 October 2012 | by (Peru) – See all my reviews

When I saw the "trailer" of "Meapless in Seattle" included at the end credits of "The Chronicles of Meap", I thought that it was only a joke (Apparently, it was originally intended as such, but due the interest of the fans this was made into an actual chapter of the series.) I am so glad that this episode was finally made. It turned out to be even better than I was expecting. Personally, I think that "Meapless in Seattle" was best moments in the entire "Phineas and Ferb" series, being funny, clever and also...Incredibly cute as well.

It was interesting to see how the scenes from the trailer appear in a different context in this episode. In many ways, this is one of the most original and less predictable chapters from "Phineas and Ferb", having a storyline which is completely different to the usual formula followed by most of the chapters in this animated series.

Now, I cannot wait to see "Meap Me in St. Louis".
