Dimitri Stephanides’ WTFilms, which bowed as a pure genre label in 2012, is widening its scope with a more diversified slate and the appointment of French sales/acquisition expert Gregory Chambet in the run up to Berlin’s Efm.
Chambet, formerly VP of International acquisitions and sales at TF1 Intl., has just joined the company and will be a driving force behind its expansion.
At TF1 Intl., Chambet brought such genre-oriented projects such as “Hobo with a Shotgun” and handled major territories such as U.S., U.K. and Japan. Gregory Chambet previously worked at Snd/M6 where he also oversaw international marketing.
The Paris-based company has snatched up two major actioners which will be shopped at Berlin, including thesp-turned-helmer David Hewlett “Debug” (pictured), a space prison thriller toplining Jason Momoa (“Game of Thrones”).
