Very solid start
4 August 2013 | by (Valhalla) – See all my reviews

This is the first nostalgia Critic Anniversary special that I have seen and it does look good for what they have in store and hope to see all the rest. I currently have all the other parts in my "Watch Later" list on my YouTube.

Firstly, I enjoyed the jokes. They're not laugh out loud but I did like some of the things that went on. Especially the cliffhanger ending. I also liked the Battlefield Earth parody where they literally have Terl as an antagonist of the piece.

I also liked the effects. Yes, they were obviously fake but for a low budget movie that is made by and starring mostly internet critics, I didn't think they were that bad.

Aside from that I enjoyed pretty much everything. I didn't know why they started it on a character dying but maybe it was from the last movie but I thought it was a bad way to start it.

So if I can get a hold of the DVD then I will get it (maybe along with the other movies). I am definitely going to watch the other three hours of this and I personally thought was good.
