Realistic Drama - great story, better acting
7 January 2014 | by (Johannesburg, South Africa) – See all my reviews

Low Winter Sun is truly different than other cop dramas - it is more realistic in the way that the characters interact. Also, the story is very heavy and fast- paced. They don't deal with too many 'side-issues' and dwell about 70-80% on the main storyline in each episode.

(It always annoys me in a story-heavy series when they introduce completely inane side stories to delay telling you about what you really want to know.)

I absolutely love this series and my only problem is there was only 10 episodes! However, I can see what an intense challenge it would be to create 22 or 24 episodes of this caliber. I really and sincerely hope they keep it up.
