'The Purge: Anarchy', 'Laggies' and Witherspoon's 'Wild' in Today's MPAA Ratings

21 May 2014 8:08 AM, PDT | Rope of Silicon | See recent Rope Of Silicon news »

I have to say, I didn't exactly see an R-rating coming for Jean-Marc Vallee's Wild starring Reese Witherspoon. The only photos we've seen have featured Witherspoon with a backpack as the film tells the story of Cheryl Strayed and her 1,000-mile on the Pacific Crest Trail alone. Clearly there is more to this one than picking wild flowers. This week we also have R-ratings for Lynn Shelton's Laggies starring Keira Knightley and The Purge: Anarchy. I've included the complete bulletin directly below. Cantinflas Rated PG For thematic elements, language, smoking and some suggestive material. Jake Squared Rated R For language. Korengal Rated R For language throughout and brief nude images. Laggies Rated R For language, some sexual material and teen partying. Release Date: September 26, 2014 The Prince Rated R For violence, drug content and language. The Purge: Anarchy Rated R For strong disturbing violence, and for language. Release Date: July »

Sosie Bacon may only be 21, but she has a lot going for her. On top of being 2014's Miss Golden Globe, through her father Kevin Bacon, she is connected to nearly everyone in Hollywood - including every other previous Miss Golden Globe, most of whom are also the daughters (or sons) of industry power players. And while some have a connection through their famous parents, others, such as Laura Dern (who happens to have famous parents), are also connected through their own work. Don't believe us? Here's how you get from young Ms. Bacon to all of her famous predecessors, »
