To tell all of you the truth, I thought the film was actually really good. It served its purpose to give people the message it was trying to intend and it was also appropriate for the audience they were targeting. The film uses a lot of cliché methods to portray their message but it uses new techniques of its own to make it stand out among other cliché romantic movies. For instance in the ending where the guy gets the girl he actually likes and Dahlia accepts that and respects his decision when he opens up and becomes bluntly honest with her, in a cliché film Dahlia would actually be angry and humiliated about it. Even the way the movie portrays itself, it over exaggerates the archetypes of each character in order to show how ridiculous it can be for people like that in real life. So initially the film does kind of make fun of itself but executes everything else with it.
