Trivia On June 16, 2000, Jeff Luers was arrested for setting fire to three SUVs and shortly thereafter was sentenced to 22 years and 8 months in prison, which was the highest sentence in US history for environmentally motivated sabotage. In 2008, a federal court accepted appeals for an excessive sentence and reduced the sentence to 10 years. Luers was released early on 16.12.2009 after 9 and a half years of imprisonment. See more »
