Lots of Dangling Material

Warning: Spoilers
It was interesting to see the trial end so early in the episode. Lisa is free as a bird, sort of. As watchers we know that something significant must be done to fill in the last thirty minutes. Well it comes down to where is the ex-husband? Significant information comes from a photograph of the restaurant employees early in the restaurant's inception. Lisa was made to be so inconsistent for a reason, so we have that. The wedding took up a bunch of time. It's good to have that over. And, of course, if there is to be a season 3, we need some grist for that mill and that is provided. I'm not sure this is the greatest show. I think it needs to stick to the cases. They did send the old lady to Calgary where she can just be faded out. I enjoyed the jockeying for position.

Another legal matter

The Lincoln Lawyer: Season Two on Netflix continues the legal drama and success of Mickey Haller after his big win from the first season. This season he meets a beautiful chef named Lisa Trammell who is played by Lana Parrilla. She is accused of murdering a billionaire businessman named Bondurant whose building skyscrapers around her business. Haller himself was not sure if his client was innocent at all since he cares so much for her and ends up sleeping with her. During the trial, prosecutors from the DA office Andrea Freeman who is played by Yaya DaCosta does not point to any other suspect except for Lisa but Mickey argues that Alex Grant made shady deals with Bondurant and he might have been the true killer. Alex who is played by Michael Goorjian has a background with the Armenian mafia who the FBI have been looking into for his past crimes. By the end of the season, Mickey is hired for yet another murder of someone who had helped him in the first season. We shall see what happens in the third season.

Disappointingly predictable.

The end is so disappointing. Lets down the entire season. It is the ending I feared since the season began. We have seen this story so many times in the recent past. I am surprised how the think tanks come up with this. Like, it's been done so many times, let's do it too?

I feel like the actors have been let down by the script. Amazing performances by all actors, specially the lead cast but there are so many illogical things happening....like that entire sequence where a specialist comes in with a mannequin to demonstrate how a shorter person can't hit the victim on the head. Come on... so many ways it could have gone down.

I hope season 3 does better than this. Will come back for the lead cast .
