Storyline

Paying homage to director Alfred Hitchcock and writer Edgar Allen Poe, the short thriller Locked Away weaves a taut, suspenseful tale without resorting to gore or cheap tricks. Unlike Hitchcock and Poe, however, the story of Norman, his roommate, Tony, and Officer D. R. Devlin is as current as today's headlines. The audience, like a jury, must draw to their own conclusions from the evidence shown. Written by Anonymous

Style of the old black and white thrillers.
14 April 2012 | by (United States) – See all my reviews

I very much liked this movie. It brought to my mind the style of the old black and white thrillers that were made by such great, one of a kind directors like Hitchcock. It also brought to mind the writing style of Edgar Allen Poe and his way of writing. This movie would definitely be one that I would go to a movie theater to pay to see. I also would definitely recommend it to my friends, this kind of movie needs to be brought to Hollywood. For Hollywood in my opinion needs a shot in the arm from a fresh approach, that this director can give. It is my opinion but I think that on occasion Hollywood gets a bit stale for movie ideas and should seek out up and coming directors for fresh ideas to keep people coming back to the theaters.
