Dancing With the Stars: All Stars Week one
25 September 2012 | by (Ireland) – See all my reviews

With recent Emmy winner Tom Bergeron and Brooke Burke Charvet return to host. Some of the most memorable contestants not the best dancers are back for the all star season this time around which should be interesting to see if anybody has gotten better or worse. Also this season you can vote in half points as well. First is season 4's Joey Fatone and Kym Johnson dancing the Cha-Cha-Cha and he seemed very awkward to me as he was dancing like the drunken uncle you never want to see dance and the judges seem to agree with me. He scores 20.5 which is too high for me I believe. Second is Shawn Johnson and Derek Hough dancing the Foxtrot, the judges seem to be mixed but I thought she was a ball of fun. Her score totals to 22 which was an OK score. Third is Sabrina Byrant and Louis Van Amstel dancing the Cha-Cha-Cha, she killed the dance and the judges liked it but they know she can do better. She gets 22.5 which is good for a premiere of all stars. Fourth is Helio Castroneves and Chelsie Hightower dancing the foxtrot, the judges did not like his foot work and I agree with their comments. He got 21.5 which is not a good score for a past winner.

Second part of my show, next is Pamela Anderson and Irish Boy Tristan McManus, she feels like an underdog even making fun of Bristol Palin, she dances the Cha-Cha-Cha. The judges did not like her dance as it felt uncomfortable. She gets 17. Next is Melissa Rycroft and Tony Dovolani dancing the foxtrot. The judges seemed to like it but pointed out some mistakes that they had. The scored 21 from the judges. Next is past winner Apolo Anton Ohno and Karina Smirnoff dancing the Cha-Cha-Cha. I liked it but Len didn't like it but Carrie Ann loved it. .They score 22. Next is Gilles Marini and current winner Peta Murgatroyd who have never danced together. They dance the foxtrot and just shows how he should have won his season. The judges missed him giving him a score of 24. Next is Palin daughter Bristol Palin and Mark Ballis dancing the Cha-Cha-Cha, the judges say she is most improved. She scores 19.5. Next is Drew Lachey and Anna Trebunskaya returning season 2 winner, he dances the foxtrot. The judges liked it but seemed mixed. They score 21.5.

Last part of my review and it's season one winner Kelly Monaco and Valentin Chmerkovskiy, the disadvantage she has is that she has not done 10 dances all the other dancers have done. They dance the Cha-Cha-Cha. The judges like it but Len was negative on it. They score 21.5. Next is Kirstie Alley and Maks Chmerkovskiy one of the best couples I've seen, she comes back to win this year they start dancing the foxtrot. The judges once again seemed to be more harsh like they have been all night for being all stars. They score 19. Last tonight is season 3 champions Emit Smith and Cheryl Burke, they dance the Cha-Cha-Cha. The judges call in the best of the night which I agree with. They score 24.5 and get the highest of the night.

EPISODE GRADE: B (MVP: Emit & Cheryl)
