‘London Has Fallen’ Gets A Teaser Poster

11 May 2015 2:51 AM, PDT | The Hollywood News | See recent The Hollywood News news »

Hot off the British General Elections comes the destruction of Big Ben, one of London’s most famous landmarks in this first teaser poster for the late-Fall opener London Has Fallen.

The film, which is the sequel to the 2013 success Olympus Has Fallen, sees Gerard Butler return as Secret Service agent Mike Banning who travels to England’s capital with Aaron Eckhart’s President Benjamin Asher, Angela Bassett’s Secret Service Director Lynn Jacobs and Morgan Freeman’s Speaker Trumbull for the funeral of Britain’s Prime Minister, where it all starts to kick off.

As you can see from this destructive poster, our lovely city takes a bit of a battering, and it’s up to Banning to save the day. Die Hard in London indeed.

Radha Mitchell, Jackie Earle Haley, Melissa Leo, Robert Forster and Colin Salmon also star. London Has Fallen opens in the UK on October 2nd. »

London Has Fallen Poster Blows Up Big Ben

10 May 2015 9:32 AM, PDT | EmpireOnline | See recent EmpireOnline news »

Well, this was predictable. Whenever a big Hollywood action film so much as thinks to visit London, you know destruction can’t be far behind. And it wasn’t tough to guess what might get it in the neck – or the clock face – first given the title of London Has Fallen. Say buh-bye to Big Ben (or, more accurately, part of the Elizabeth Tower) in this teaser poster. Following on from 2013’s surprise victor in the White House-in-peril box office arms race, Olympus Has Fallen, the new film heads across the pond to cause trouble here. Christian Gudegast, Creighton Rothenberger and Katrin Benedikt are behind the script, which finds Gerard Butler’s Secret Service agent Mike Banning, Aaron Eckhart’s President Benjamin Asher, Angela Bassett’s Secret Service director Lynn Jacobs and Morgan Freeman’s Speaker Allan Trumbull among those who travel to London to attend the funeral of the Prime Minister. »

'London Has Fallen' Poster Blows Up Big Ben

Big Ben suffers an embarrassing blow out in the first teaser poster for London Has Fallen! It seems the world's leaders have assembled in England, and as luck would have it, so have their enemies. Its up to the President and his dashing intelligence team to stop this threat and save the world this fall.

London Has Fallen is the sequel to the worldwide smash hit Olympus Has Fallen, and is a non-stop, suspenseful action thriller that delivers high-octane excitement through a heightened sense of authenticity. The visceral intensity springs from a timely premise: after the British Prime Minister passes away, his funeral becomes a target of a terrorist organization to destroy some of the world's most powerful leaders, devastate the British capital, and unleash a terrifying vision of the future. First Poster For London Has Fallen Says Goodbye To Big Ben

8 May 2015 1:19 PM, PDT | www.themoviebit.com | See recent TheMovieBit news »

Part of 2013’sympus was a tense and gritty affair  two man war of the White House set action movies, Olympus Has Fallen was a pretty tense and gritty affair, with Gerard Butler on hand to ably fill the action hero role. Now a sequel is coming our way, but how do you top trashing the home of the most powerful man in America? Go international, of course.  The first poster for London Has Fallen doesn’t hide the fact that the British capital is in for one hell of a time, with Big Ben getting destroyed while the rest of London burns, and it’s one hell of an image to announce a movie with. The original played it’s premise, which was essentially Die Hard, completely straight, which added a welcome dose of realism. The sequel, while definitely going bigger, will hopefully carry that over. Released: 2nd October  Synopsis: »

Explosive Marketing Tricks on 'London Has Fallen' Teaser Poster

8 May 2015 11:46 AM, PDT | firstshowing.net | See recent FirstShowing.net news »

There goes Big Ben. Considering the results of the election in the UK today, it's a particularly perfect time for Focus Features to drop this poster for London Has Fallen. This sequel to Olympus Has Fallen is not the Roland Emmerich one (that was White House Down), instead it's the one with Gerard Butler. Who, believe it or not, is back for this sequel being directed by Babak Najafi. The massive cast includes: Aaron Eckhart, Morgan Freeman, Angela Bassett, Melissa Leo, Radha Mitchell, Robert Forster, Jackie Earle Haley, Charlotte Riley, Sean O’Bryan, Alon Aboutboul and Waleed Zuaiter. None of them are seen on this poster, because it's just a shot of the Big Ben clocktower being blown out. I guess we'll find out who did this later? Here's the first teaser poster for Babak Najafi's London Has Fallen, provided directly by Focus Features: The sequel to the »

Posters for 'London Has Fallen' and 'Bone Tomahawk' Couldn't be More Different

I wouldn't typically choose to put these two posters in the same post, but they arrived at the same time and, well, I guess I'm lazy. Either way, just below are the posters for the Olympus Has Fallen sequel London Has Fallen as well as the Kurt Russell-led Western Bone Tomahawk and they are about as far apart from one another in effort and quality as could possibly be. First London Has Fallen Poster Is Already Hating British Landmarks

8 May 2015 10:46 AM, PDT | Collider.com | See recent Collider.com news »

There were two “Die Hard in the White House” movies in 2013: Olympus Has Fallen and White House Down. Sadly, it’s the former—which is more self-serious and therefore more disturbing—that’s getting the sequel. Focus Features has now released the first London Has Fallen poster, and unsurprisingly, it highlights the destruction on a major monument. Specifically, Big Ben is being blown out in this international teaser poster, but you can see that the rest of London is burning in the background. It will be interesting to see what others tourist destinations will be destroyed: London Bridge? Buckingham Palace? Piccadilly Circus? By the way, this isn’t me joking. This is literally from the original plot synopsis [emphasis mine]: However, what starts out as the most protected event on Earth turns into a deadly plot to kill the world’s most powerful leaders, devastate every known landmark in the British capital, »

A few years ago, two Presidential action movies were released. A modest hit, it was successful enough to warrant an internationally set sequel that takes the political explosions across the pond. Big Game review

Samuel L Jackson leads a batty comedy thriller from the director of Rare Exports. Here's Ryan's review of Big Game...

Released in 2010, Rare Exports was a mischievous comic horror film about a small Finnish town menaced by a feral Santa Claus. Action thriller Big Game marks writer-director Jalmari Helander’s English-language debut, and like Rare Exports, it mischievously plays with the expectations of its genre.

Set in the mountains of northern Finland, it introduces Oskari (Onni Tommila, the returning star of Rare Exports), a 13-year-old boy nervously attempting to pass a coming-of-age test. It’s the custom in Oskari’s community for a boy to head out into the forest and hunt down the biggest animal he can find; as one elder puts it, “A boy goes into the wilderness and comes back as a man.”

The problem is, Oskari’s far from a born hunter; unlike his father (Jorma Tommila »
