Aziz Ansari performs in front of an appreciative audience in Washington D.C. in this fairly good stand-up show.
Ansari performs with a good level of energy, but it seems to be anger channeled at his audience with a goodly peppering of words bleeped out on Comedy Central. Anger is a good basis for comedy, but his basic shtick is that he never gets what he wants in the way of women or good use of his time, but it is all about trivia: his lame come-ons at parties or how he wastes his time on the Internet on trivia or internet porn sites.
The net result is a series of well-told jokes and stories aimed at a similarly placed audience or one that will be able to empathize from a slightly more mature viewpoint. It's not to my taste, but it may be to yours.
