Goofs

When Dan is in vault, the Banker uses one key to open all the boxes using the right key slot. This is impossible since a Safety Deposit Box needs the bank key and the box owner key to be inserted and turned simultaneously. Additionally, when Dan uses his key, he changes back and forth from the left to the right key slot among the different boxes. See more »

Quotes

Mike Ehrmantraut: All of this, falling apart like this, is on you.
Walter White: Wow.
[laughs]
Walter White: Wow! Oh, that's some kind of logic right there, Mike. You screw up, get yourself followed by the DEA, and now, suddenly, this is all my fault. Why don't you walk me through this, Mike?
Mike Ehrmantraut: We had a good thing, you stupid son of a bitch! We had Fring. We had a lab. We had everything we needed, and it all ran like clockwork. You could've shut your mouth, cooked and made as much money as you ever needed. It was perfect. But, no, you just ...

As we near the end...

...I have concerns.

I initially didn't think I'd like Breaking Bad 'cause I thought it would be difficult for me to like characters that make and deal drugs. Although I am a tree-huggin' liberal and advocate legalization, how can you like people who do so much damage?

But I was wrong. I instantly was on board. It jumped through some sketchy hoops, but still made the journey to compelling.

Flash forward through near-perfect seasons and I'm left with worry.

I'm picturing this all ending like Scarface. A bloodbath. The true horror for these characters would be to survive whatever is coming their way, to continue living the lives they are and to realize how awful it is. Sure, they would have some loss. But not their lives.

But it won't. Everyone will die and I will be disappointed. (We've seen it before!) Mike's death I'm sure previews what is yet to come, as Walt will now go after Mike's "loose ends".

Presently I'm left with a dilemma. Walt is now two dimensional, albeit still very compelling. There are no hidden moments of worry or fear. He had one when he shot Mike, but one in a million. It's very good mugging, but it's still mugging from Cranston. It's not his fault. It's just not in the writing at the moment. It's been like this since season 4.

But I still can't wait to see what happens. Destination viewing.

(But this breaking 'til next year thing is just stupid.)
