Important powerful film
niche_biche1 July 2012
A must see film for everyone. We all have the duty in our lives to examine the choices we make - to make sure we are living up to the principles we set for ourselves. Reality, ignorance and denial all sometimes get in the way. In the realm of food and how it gets to our plates, this is a must see. This film is different in that it uses farmers and others that directly worked in or around the animal based food industry. Their own transformations regarding their lives is very emotional and moving. We learn so much about the nature of farm animals with each other and their relationships with humans - very poignant. This movie is important, but also entertaining and informative.

Life Changing!

This movie has a lot of impact on many levels. Everybody must see this from the beginning to end! It warms my heart knowing there are people out there truly making a difference. I hope this video gets the recognition it deserves. I wish this was mandatory for everybody to watch. I only ordered one DVD but will now send out for 10. It was genius!!! I have always had a strong connection to animals, and even though I did not think it would be possible, this movie amplified that connection. If only the world could see this! I know there would be a huge change in a positive way regarding our health, our environment, and most important of all....our outlook on life and capacity for compassion.

More heart opening.

Even after seeing this footage for the third time, my heart was opened even further. I already spend most of my waking hours as a voice for other species , but seeing PK yesterday made me want to do even more. I was inspired, once again, by the amazing people in the film who see a situation and don't turn their backs on it. I wish everyone in the world could watch this film and then look into their own hearts and then act on what they know and feel. One woman ran out of the film during a particularly difficult scene to watch. She returned to finish watching the film. When I checked in with her to make sure she was doing OK after the film was over, she said, "Yes, I feel things so deeply, but I think it is important that everyone watches and witness what is really happening in the world."

Important Film, reminding us of human ability to become numb

As a farmer's wife, I love this film. I cried the entire way through the film, imagining my own boys growing up on the farm. Before people are farmers, they are children who love animals. I thought this was an extremely moving use of the documentary medium and will change someone's eating habits after watching.

It's incredibly well done.
