The contestants had to make confectionery this week. Who proved sweet enough for the new Willy Wonka, Lord Sugar?
Goodbye, Oliver. Back to your sausage empire with you. Karthik was man of the match and next week the crazy gang are off to Liberty for a right retail romp. Thank you so much for joining us and making those dynamite comments on the blog this week. Until next week, don’t have nightmares: “Suck it and seeeeeaa!”
“Oliver, your best hope for 250 grand is to buy yourself a scratch card.” And lo, the dithering project manager is fired.
“Multi-task”, “innovative decisions”, “run with your head”. Oliver’s a sausage factory of board meeting bingo. Paul’s on the attack. And Mukai’s, ahem, fudging things.
Mukai, Paul and Oliver are facing Sir Alan’s fire finger. Please keep Paul so he gets »

Troll 2, 1990.
Young Joshua is mourning the loss of his grandpa Seth, whose spirit visits him regularly to warn him about the dangers of goblins. Joshua’s family refuses to believe that the deceased old man has truly been re-appearing, chalking it up to the boy’s refusal to accept his grandfathers’ passing. Meanwhile, the family is taking part in a home exchange vacation with a family from the quiet mountain town of Nilbog. However, upon arrival Joshua finds himself visited by his grandfather once again, warning of the dangerous goblins and their intentions to eat the visiting family.
One of the most notoriously bad films of all time and a cult hit to boot, I am course talking about the iconic masterpiece of bad cinema that is Troll 2.

As Halloween fans know, October’s staple holiday (sorry, Columbus Day) is synonymous with hours-long horror movie marathons, inevitable candy comas and Lol-worthy Diy costumes — and while many look forward to the 31st year-round, there’s a group of non-believers who dread Halloween almost as much as the world collectively loathes waking up on a Friday thinking it’s Saturday.
Consider yourself one of them? Add our suggestions to your to-do list this Halloween.
1. Spend approximately two hours searching for a new show to watch on Netflix … before ultimately succumbing to the masterpiece that is Jane the Virgin. Again.

At this point, it’s a given that the stories being told on television have begun to equal or surpass the choices one can get at the movie theater, and this weekend, the Epix Network are finally getting into the game with their first two Epix Original Series, including Berlin Station, an espionage thriller with an all-star cast.
It stars Richard Armitage (The Hobbit) as Daniel Miller, a CIA agent called to work undercover out of the Berlin office, tasked to find a leak from a whistleblower known as “Thomas Shaw” along with his long-time friend and colleague, Hector DeJean (Rhys Ifans). They work under the CIA’s Berlin Chief of Station Steven Frost (Richard Jenkins) and his administrator Valerie Edwards, played by Michelle Forbes (The Killing, True Blood).
Lrm sat down with Armitage and Forbes while they were in New York City promoting the show.

It’s Tudor week! With the bakers jousting for a place in the semis, who’ll end up in the stocks?
Yowzabungeroonie. Thanks everyone, that was a ride. Feeling a bit odd about Benjamina’s departure. But Selasi was more entertaining than ever tonight. I love him so much. I almost wish I didn’t.
Until next week, my dears. See you for Patisserie, despite the absence of Valerie.Come say hello on twitter or instagram or in the real world if you happen upon me by chance and it isn’t weird. Also if you see me eating out of a bin, not then either.
MrsVictoria I would chuck anyone under the bus for Selasi too, but am starting to feel guilty about that. Man is chancing his arm. He’s like an Raf pilot stuck behind enemy lines, relying on sheer ingenuity and his »

Goldie Hawn was spotted taking a stroll through her Pacific Palisades neighborhood in La on Thursday. The 70-year-old actress was glowing as she made her way down the street with a friend while sporting a pair of printed leggings and sneakers. It was reported this week that Goldie and her longtime partner, Kurt Russell, recently put their very private (and very well-decorated) Pacific Palisades home on the market for $7.25 million. Goldie also made headlines late last month with her candid comments about her relationship with Kurt. The actress opened up about why the pair has chosen not to marry - a question she seems to get quite often, despite having the same answer - telling a British talk-show host, "I would have been long divorced if I'd been married. Marriage is an interesting psychological thing. If you need to feel bound to someone, then it's important to be married. If you have independence, »

It’s botanical week! But who’ll be planting a flag of victory, and who’ll be taking leaves of absence?
Yowza. That was genuinely unpredictable. Good job, Bake Off fellas!
Thanks for getting involved, everyone. You do make me laugh, even as we trundle down the road to perdition.
Desserts next week! Is Tom gonna make some bread and bitter pudding? Rooibosh crumble?
He has! Tom bakes his way to botanical glory. He snatches the laurel wreath of victory, while Rav munches the bitter herb of defeat. To the surprise of no one. What a teddy bear though.
Andrew looks like a character from the Beano on those steps with his pipe cleaner legs and russet head. If he goes there’ll be outcry. Can Tom nab star baker? I honestly don’t know what’s gonna happen here.

Mark Wahlberg reunites with his Lone Survivor director Peter Berg for Deepwater Horizon, a film centred around the oil rig tragedy of 2010. It’s a strong film, all the better for finding the parts of the story that weren’t screened on 24 hour news channels worldwide.
Wahlberg stars in and produces the film. And he spared us some time to talk about it…
The construct of this film reminded me a little of the first Alien, in that it spends so much time setting up characters, introducing us to their trivialities and bits of their life, so that when bad things happen, you’re far more invested in them.
With Deepwater Horizon, you invest a lot of time before you get to what’s on the poster. How much of »

Despite being generally well received by critics and fans alike, Star Trek Beyond is in danger of being viewed as a box office flop. The sci-fi adventure flick hasn’t finished its theatrical run just yet (it opened in China on September 1), but analysts reckon it’s going to have to rake in $350 million to recoup the budget and promotional costs, and since it currently sits at around $244.5 million, that’s going to be tough.
Of course, there’s always a decent chance it’ll find a bigger audience on home-media. Paramount has announced that Star Trek Beyond will be released to Digital HD on October 4, followed by a Blu-ray, Blu-ray 3D and 4K Ultra HD release on November 1st. Below you’ll find the full list of extra features, as well as the cover art:

Star Trek: Beyond is hitting Blu-Ray. We’ve got the details on the release.
So okay even I was a skeptic on Star Trek: Beyond but I’ve big enough to admit that I had a lot of fun watching the movie. I do love that these stories are still being told and loved how it’s been reintroduced for this new era. Well the home release is just around the corner and it’s got a lot packaged with it.
So first off in case we forgot this is the third movie in this new franchise telling and if you missed out there will be a three pack of all of the films. Now the Blu-Ray pack is going to have over an hour of extra content including.

If you've been watching ABC's family comedies over the last few years, Speechless will feel simultaneously familiar and unusual, both in ways that are reassuring. Since the debuts of Modern Family and The Middle, ABC has had an uncanny knack for developing single-camera comedies about families, each of them feeling like part of the some coherent brand, but having their own distinct voice and perspective. Not all of them have entirely clicked (The Real O'Neals is still figuring itself out, though it has moments), but there are safer bets in the TV business right now. Based on the pilot episode, at least, Speechless (it debuts tomorrow at 8:30, in between The Goldbergs and Modern Family) looks like another winner. The hook here is that the family, headed by Maya Dimeo (Minnie Driver) — husband Jimmy (John Ross Bowie from Big Bang Theory) knows his role is to support Maya's leadership and »
