Justin Bieber Strips After Getting Booed

10 September 2014 7:36 AM, PDT | Access Hollywood | See recent Access Hollywood news »

The "Fashion Rocks" audience got to see a whole lot of Justin Bieber on Tuesday night.

On stage to present an award, along with model Lara Stone, the singer was met with loud boos from the crowd, so naturally, he stripped off his clothes.

“So, uh, I actually don’t feel comfortable unless I’m in my Calvin’s so … is that cool?” the 20-year-old said.

"Go on, darling," Lara replied.

The Biebs then took off his pants and shirt, and struck a couple of poses wearing only his Calvin Klein boxer briefs.

Scott Silveri, 20th TV Partner on Family Comedy Project for Fox

8 September 2014 11:30 AM, PDT | Variety - TV News | See recent Variety - TV News news »

In what is said to be one the most lucrative commitments thus far in development season, “Friends” and “Go On” alum Scott Silveri and 20th Century Fox TV have inked a put pilot with penalty commitment for a single-camera comedy project for Fox.

The project, which is still untitled, follows a family that’s good at handling the challenges it faces — and excellent at creating new ones. Silveri will write and exec produce. “New Girl’s” Jake Kasdan will direct and Melvin Mar (“Fresh Off the Boat,” film’s “Bad Teacher”) will also exec produce.

All three are repped by Wme.

Silveri was recently given a hefty three-year overall deal with 20th TV.

The Essential Films and TV to Stream – September 8th 2014

8 September 2014 5:00 AM, PDT | HeyUGuys.co.uk | See recent HeyUGuys news »

After last week’s news about Netflix securing The Blacklist for a record fee, a similar story came to light this week concerning the pre Batman prequel series Gotham. Now rather than getting it day and date after Us broadcast as per Breaking Bad and From Dusk Till Dawn, Gotham’s entire run will just arrive on Netflix after it’s finished its TV broadcast. Worse news is that this means you have to wait for Channel 5 to get their finger out and schedule it on one of their three channels and then muck it around the schedule just to confuse you further and for it to finish its run there. Kind of takes the wind out the sails doesn’t it? I wouldn’t expect to see Gotham on Netflix until this time next year at best but we will see.

In better news David Wain’s relatively well »

Watch The Brutal, Bloody And Bonkers Nsfw Trailer For The ABCs Of Death 2

2 September 2014 3:16 PM, PDT | We Got This Covered | See recent We Got This Covered news »

For those who like a typhoon of blood and that surging rise of vomit in their throats, Christmas has come early! The next instalment of horror’s truly inventive franchise, The ABCs Of Death 2, is to hit the market in October. But before then, it’s probably best to acquaint yourself with a hint of the violence to come.

The anthology gorefest has another line-up of horror’s finest directorial talent. Vincenzo Natali (Cube), Jen and Sylvia Soska (American Mary) and Alejandro Brugues (Juan Of The Dead) are but three of monstrous roster. With such an eclectic mix of filmmakers, it’s no surprise that the methods of demise will vary greatly – from the bizarre to the outright bloody. Go on, have a gander at the trailer.

The brief two-minute preview hints at another brilliant horror-comedy medley, with repugnant visuals and black-as-night humour. While it certainly isn’t going »

James Gunn To Introduce More Female Superheroes Into Guardians Of The Galaxy

2 September 2014 1:09 PM, PDT | We Got This Covered | See recent We Got This Covered news »

Marvel’s severe lack of equality between their male and female superheroes has not gone unnoticed. Sure, there’s the Black Widow, there’s Gamora, there’s Scarlet Witch, there’s… Peggy Carter? Does she count? Well, she brandishes a weapon and acts like a badass, so in our eyes that’s a yes. Woo hoo, there’s women in the Marvel Cinematic Universe! But their appearances are far from equal when compared to their male counterparts – not one female superhero has her own movie in the McU.

While that trend sees little sign of bucking anytime soon, there might be hope for at the very least greater visibility. Speaking at DragonCon this weekend in Atlanta, Guardians Of The Galaxy director James Gunn answered one question which offers a brief smear of hope.

As reported by Collider who were at the event:

Doctor Who blogging: “Into the Dalek”

31 August 2014 2:35 PM, PDT | www.flickfilosopher.com | See recent FlickFilosopher news »

[previous: “Deep Breath”]

warning: spoilers!

It’s not the Fantastic Voyage ripoff that bothers me here — though it’s cheating to have the Doctor talk about medical miniaturization as a “fantastic idea for a movie” as if that should erase any objections. It’s the ripoff of the wonderful early episode of the rebooted Doctor Who: “Dalek.” This episode goes over all the same emotional ground that one did eight years ago: created a moral equivalence between the Doctor and his greatest enemies, used his hatred of them to define how much he — as a character in our eyes and as a man in his own eyes — had been changed by his battles with them.

And maybe all of the rewalking a path we’d already been down would have been okay if the story built around it made the slightest bit of sense in a moment-by-moment, scene-by-scene way, purely on a plot basis. »

"Major" TV Spot for Big Hero 6

30 August 2014 7:28 AM, PDT | GeekTyrant | See recent GeekTyrant news »

One of the coolest projects to come out of Disney’s purchase of Marvel is the animated feature adaptation of Big Hero 6. It’s different from anything we’ve seen come out of Disney animation before. I’m pretty excited about it.

Here is a new “Major” spot for the film. That’s the title of the spot. “Major.” It is not major like a 7 minute featurette. It is 18 seconds, and it is called “Major.” No, I don’t know why. Yes, it might be click-bait. Watch it anyway. Go on. It’s pretty good.

Inspired by the Marvel comics of the same name, and featuring comic-book style action, Big Hero 6 is a heartfelt comedy adventure about robotics prodigy Hiro Hamada, who learns to harness his genius—thanks to his brilliant brother Tadashi and their like-minded friends: adrenaline junkie Go Go Tamago, clean freak Wasabi No-Ginger, chemistry whiz Honey Lemon and fanboy Fred. »

Harmontown Trailer: Go on the Road With the Genius Behind Community and Rick And Morty

28 August 2014 4:26 PM, PDT | Collider.com | See recent Collider.com news »

I have a love/hate relationship with Community.  At its best, the show transcends merely being funny and offers truly unique insight into the types characters that other programs either reduce into caricature or marginalize completely.  At its worst (not counting the apparently abysmal Season 4), it's self-indulgent and overly reliant on meta in-jokes concerning its own universe.  Thankfully, it's usually great.  And if you've seen Rick and Morty you know that that show in particular can be astoundingly good.  They both come from the mind of Dan Harmon, which isn't always a pleasant place to be as evidenced by this trailer to Harmontown. The film focusses on Harmon's podcast/comedy tour last year and features interviews with the likes of Sarah Silverman, Jack Black, Ben Stiller, the cast of Community and more.  It was written and directed by Neil Berkeley the Orchard will be releasing it in theaters and VOD on October 3rd. »

Gary Sanchez Prods Now ‘Henchmen’ With Bron Studios On Animated Feature

13 August 2014 11:08 AM, PDT | Deadline New York | See recent Deadline New York news »

Gary Sanchez Prods’ Adam McKay, Will Ferrell and Chris Henchy will become creative collaborators and exec producers on Henchmen, a feature-length adaptation of the Siggraph 2014 short Henchmen: Ill Suited, from Bron Studios. The production is targeting a 2016 debut.

The story line starts with a variant of the Sorceror’s Apprentice story line. In this case, a dreamy janitor working in the bad guy museum of Supervillain City ends up inside a somewhat out-of-control super-powered space suit, and causes all kinds of mayhem. The synopsis for the feature-length adaptation suggests there will still be a hapless young twerp in a super suit, but will also focus on a “fallen henchman” named Hank overseeing a “motley crew of blue-collar workers in the Union of Evil.” The “risk-nothing” sentiments of Hank are challenged when he must become a hero and rescue the kid in the suit and the missing woman he loves. »
