Shout! Factory and CarpeDiem Film & TV have entered into a film deal to distribute the new animated feature “Snowtime!” in the United States, it was announced Wednesday by Shout! Factory’s founders Richard Foos, Bob Emmer and Garson Foos and CarpeDiem Film & TV president Marie-Claude Beauchamp. Californian sales house Cinema Management Group and eOne distribbery Les Films Seville are boarding animated feature project “Mission Yeti,” set up at top Canadian toon house 10th Ave Productions.
Produced and co-directed by 10th Ave prexy Nancy Florence Savard, the family-oriented adventure movie “Mission Yeti” narrates how the destinies of Nelly Maloye, a novice private eye, and Simon Picard, a research assistant in a university anthropology department, unexpectedly meet.
In the film, the impulsive and headstrong Nelly will join the methodical and pragmatic Simon in a questioned quest in the heart of the Himalayas to prove the existence of the elusive Yeti.
Edward Noelther’s Cmg, a leading sales company for higher-end CGI movies from around the world, is representing “Yeti’s” worldwide rights; Les Films Seville will distribute in Canada.
