Storyline

Alex escapes Hatch's clutches and stops Hal,who has just claimed more victims, and Tom from fighting by revealing that Hatch is literally the devil incarnate. Hal explains that the demonic plan was to cause chaos by setting supernaturals against each other - hence the employee of the month contest. When the trio find the streets strewn with corpses Hal reveals that Hatch could cause people, such as Natasha and Bobby,to commit suicide by suggesting it to them. Learning that Hatch is in a television studio about to broadcast to the nation that it commits mass suicide the three set out to prevent him by mingling vampire and werewolf blood which is to be drunk by a ghost, the only sure way to stop him. Will it work and if so will they find a way to end the curse upon them all? Written by don @ minifie-1

Quotes

Hal: I'm not a part of this little project now, which gives me clarity that I didn't have before. Annie, George, Mitchell, Nina, the two of you. None of you realised. None of us realised, it's the desire to be human is the end, not the beginning. To want it, is to have it. You're not wasting your time Tom, you've already won.

The Devil offers a deal
11 March 2013 | by (United Kingdom) – See all my reviews

After last week's episode things didn't look good for the three supernatural protagonists; Hatch had put Alex in her own grave, Hal was going on the rampage and Tom was determined to kill Hal… all part of Hatch's plan to start a war between vampires and werewolves. If he is to be stopped Alex must escape from her grave and prevent her friends from killing each other. Inevitably she manages that but stopping the devil will require a lot more than that and even if they are to succeed the ritual will kill them all! Hatch isn't going to give up without a struggle either; he manages to separate the three and offer each of them a full human life; it might not be real but it will seem real to them. Will they spurn his offer and continue the fight or accept it as the price for being human?

So; after five series 'Being Human' is finally over… not bad for a series that was going to be dropped after its pilot! Over that time the cast of characters may have changed but at its heart it remained the same; an unlikely friendship between a ghost a vampire and a werewolf. Last episodes can be a little disappointing at times but I really liked this; the trio took on the ultimate bad guy with some surprising results and a satisfying ending which I won't spoil here. The cast did a fine job and there were some genuinely touching scenes when they were shown the lives they could have. I'm sad to see this end but and glad it got such a good ending.
