Did You Know?

When muscle man yells, "My mom!" while getting the test shots of him taken, the camera goes off, and his arms are up. When it cuts to the other guys right after, that picture comes out, but he's holding his stomach like beforehand. No other pictures come out in the time that it's on this shot, so it can't be a development delay. See more »

Muscle Man, the jerk with a heart of gold
11 November 2012 | by (Peru) – See all my reviews

Of all the characters from "Regular Show", I think that Muscle Man is my least favorite one.

At first he was just a funny background character which didn't have very much relevance in the plot from each chapter from this series.

It was since "My Mom" that Muscle Man started to have a more important role in this series, receiving a lot of attention in the third season. That only served to make Muscle Man's antics increasingly annoying and repetitive, particularly in the episodes which are centered about him.

Fortunately, there were also a few episodes which tried to add more development to this character, showing that, despite everything, Muscle Man had a sensitive personality very deep inside. Those episodes were the funny "Muscle Woman" and this one.

"Gut Model" is one of the very few good episodes about Muscle Man, and it is probably the only when I cared about him and I find his frustration to be (somewhat) understandable.

If "Muscle Woman" showed the most sensitive side of Muscle Man, "Gut Model" shows that he genuinely care about his friends (Yes, even Mordecai and Rigby) It was a rare, but nice moment for this series.
