A nurse that won't be intimidated
7 April 2015 | by (United States) – See all my reviews

This episode is the first I saw and it just started on PBS 4U. It is about a woman that has not seen her mother for 20 years.

She returns to Australia where she came from and tries to make amends with her mother. Her mother sounds religious but is very cruel in her speech. It seems Sarah is Jewish but her mother is going to church and wants her to attend and she refuses.

Before she goes back to see her mom she meet a family called Bligh and and they are on a ship. Sarah becomes Mrs Bligh's nurse. Mrs Bligh also has a grandson who tries to kill himself on the ship and she also meets the Bligh son who really likes her.

Sarah is a tough woman she won't be intimated by patients, she will take care of their needs and she won't be bribed by Mrs Bligh to go back to England instead of taking a job as a visiting nurse with the help of a doctor in a hospital. The doctor told Sarah they have prayer time and she tells him she is Jewish but they come to and agreement as long as they pray they can have their own religious prayer.

Sarah is very private but professional. The episode left off where she will start her new job in Australia and it seems the dog that is at the cottage where she started living has becomes her friend and shows her affection. Nice ending.
