The Final Episode
25 April 2014 | by (United States) – See all my reviews

Courage is the final episode about Jesus and the concluding episode of The Bible.

The episode includes the resurrection of Jesus from the dead. This was realized by Mary Magdalene especially after finding the tomb empty. She finds a mysterious figure in the tomb recognizes him as Jesus. After this event, she tells about it to the other apostles. Then,we witness Jesus appear to them later and commissions them to go and preach to his teachings to the people all over the world before he ascends to heaven. Then the narrative proceeds with following events:the Pentecost, the death of Stephen, the conversion of Saul into Paul, the martyrdom of the apostles, and the revelations the John receives at the island of Patmos about the second coming of Jesus in the future.

This conclusion of the mini-series was sort of a disappointment for it very uneven.Although it was great that it has a lot of scenes about the risen Jesus,I felt that it somehow shortchanged the viewer in terms of the story of Paul the Apostle and the Revelation. It was great that we are treated to many scenes about the resurrected Christ because this is basically what many films and other mini-series about Jesus are mostly lacking. It could have been better if it just had one episode about it rather that adding other stories from The Acts Of The Apostles particularly the conversion of Saul into Paul and many others.Or better yet,the mini-series could have not ended with this one and just added another episode to tell the story of the apostles after witnessing the risen Jesus.Too bad that this mini-series ended this way.
