The vast fortune of a grumpy man who once won $80-million in the Florida state lottery falls to his philandering brother after he's found murdered on a very remote island of the part of the Keys known as Islandia, sold privately to millionaires. The owner is a most inhospitable, suspiciously trigger-happy recluse, actually a romantic novel author under secret pseudonym. The victim was shot but already had terminal cancer. Aggressive Realtor Meghan Connor was desperately trying to buy the island for the victim. Jim must find the murder weapon and trap its owner, while worrying about Callie, who keeps f-deferring quality time, yet agreed to a weekend with her hospital supervisor. Written by
Did You Know?
The cars parked in front of lottery winner Brian Taylor's mansion included a Lamborghini Gallardo, a Bentley GT Convertible, and a Ford GT40, all rented from a private owner. Matt Passmore (Jim Longworth) wanted to take one for a spin, but unfortunately neither cast nor crew is allowed to drive picture cars. The scenes on Islandia were shot on Sandspur Island, known to locals as "Beer Can Island" because it's a popular party spot for local who have boats . Some shots were also taken in Oleta River Park. The Florida panther that chases Jim and Jennifer up a tree is named Justice. She is one year old and was raised by her trainers since she was a kitten. See more
