Mediocre with some bright spots
25 January 2017 | by See all my reviews

This show is kind of worth watching but on the whole not that funny and not as avant garde as it wants to be either. If you feel like sitting through a lot of crap you will get some great moments. The earlier seasons are a little better than the later ones.

In general the pranks are much better than the sketches. But it's mostly sketches. There's a certain laziness to a lot of the skits which is en vogue now and passes off for avant garde. I.E. if it's not funny just weird-up the editing. I'm not saying this is all bad, this is a style, the Tim and Eric style (for lack of a better term), but it's better when it's combined with some memorable content.

Tyler the Creator in my opinion is a much better musician than anything else and definitely one of the least funny members of Odd Future (although I have to admit his Mt Dew commercials were great). Earl Sweatshirt is the funniest.
