Storyline

When the Nostalgia Critic can't stop blaming himself for the loss of Ma-Ti, a weird string of events begins to unfold that could shake the very fabric of internet reviewing as we know it. The evil Psychlo, Terl, under orders from a mysterious bureaucrat, is out for revenge against the Critic and convinces the government to arrest him, while Mechakara is reprogrammed to incapacitate Linkara and take his place. Meanwhile, Paw and his friends discover some weird signals emitting from space and Spoony seems to be the key to it all. Finally, they discover that this force is Ma-Ti, whose spirits inhabits The Plot Hole, in which no life can be sustained...without horrific mishaps. In order to try and right his wrongs and find purpose within his life, the Critic summons his colleagues NChick, Paw, Cinema Snob, 8-Bit Mickey, Bennett the Sage, Luke Mochrie, Film Brain, Phelous, Todd, Lupa, "Linkara", C.R., JesuOtaku, Angry Joe, JewWario, Sad Panda and MarzGurl for help. They steal equipment ... Written by explorerds6789

The best of the Anniversary specials
16 March 2013 | by (Co, Derry, Northern Ireland) – See all my reviews

Personally, I think all the Anniversary specials are okay. It has some good jokes and some really lame ones. The acting is not great, although Doug, Noah, Brad and Rob are great. Everyone else, well, you have to understand; they're not actors. Just internet reviewers.

The sci-fi references are meh. I hated the Ghostbusters reference. How many times do we have to see Star Wars get spoofed? Although I though thought the reference to Episode 3 was very well done. And the Aliens line was predictable.

The CGI is not good. But then, this is an internet movie. They had no chance in Hell of making them look good. There is a really good shot of the fleet and the camera zooms in on them.

However, if they used models instead of CGI, it would've looked a lot better.

But the stuff I liked; I liked the emotional parts, I thought the Distraction song was really good and it intercutting with the dogfight was very well done.

Much like Suburban Knights, I liked the way the characters all dressed as Sci-fi characters. Todd's Robo-cop costume looked cool.

The fact that they made a 3 and half hour internet movie is VERY impressive.

Overall, an okay movie. Out of all the Anniversary specials, this is my favourite.
