Storyline

Yousef, a resolutely benevolent Iraqi cardiologist, escapes his horrifying past by driving a Sydney taxi, making a living and uplifting lives. As he pilots the taxi, Yousef cajoles his despondent fare, office-drone Grogan, hoping to break him from his malaise. Grogan is drawn to the taxi driver against all his better instincts, as he directs them to his destination: a government Immigrant Detention Centre. An immigration officer, Grogan is ready to escort Yousef from his taxi, when he is suddenly hit by another car, plunging Yousef into a practical and moral crisis: to help the stricken Grogan or to flee.
