Emraan Hashmi back to where he belongs

What's the common factor in Emraan Hashmi's last few films? Well, none of these boasted of trademark 'Emraan Hashmi' kind of songs. Whether it is Ghanchakkar, Ek Thi Daayan, Rush or Shanghai, each of these had the kind of music that was miles away from the kind that goes with Emraan's territory. All of that is going to change now with Dil Hai Ki Maanta Nahi remake, work on which has already begun. For starters, the film would be an out and out musical and would boast of as m

Emraan-Vidya get sigh of relief!

In their last few films, both Emraan Hashmi and Vidya Balan have played rather serious characters. However for their next release together, Ghanchakkar, the duo has just let their hair down. This is not just for the camera but also behind the scenes."There have been way too many intense films that Emraan has done in the recent past. Ek Thi Daayan is a recent example where he was tense for most part of the affair. Ditto for his delayed film Rush. Even before that in Raaz 3, his

  • Bollyspice
The Julie actress who appeared recently in the late Shamin Desai’s thriller Rush opposite Emraan Hashmi said in recent interview, “It’s a constant struggle. You get up every day and you are struggling.”

When asked to elaborate Dhupia explains, “The guy sitting at the number one position is struggling to be at number one. The girl, who hasn’t got her first job, is struggling to get her first job.”

And an example of that would be? “I don’t want to give any body else’s example. People like me, I have got my first job, I am not at number one, but I am struggling to make my way up everyday. Every body is struggling,”

Well, many may say that that is life – harsh but true – but we like Neha’s honesty and wish her all the best in her upcoming ventures. Neha stars in the new Punjabi film,

Neha Dhupia: ‘The hardest part is to seduce on-screen’

  • Bollyspice
The former Miss India actress Neha Dhupia (who has appeared in Chup Chup Ke, Singh Is Kinng, De Dana Dan, Action Replayy and most recently Maximum alongside Sonu Sood) has now been paired with hunk Emraan Hashmi for her newly released film, Rush. In a recent interview, she declared how tough it is to romance someone on-screen.

She states, “People say that it must be easy for me to play someone who is ultra-glam. However, the hardest part is to seduce on screen. You have to pretend it but make it look real for the audience. It is ironical.”

She further adds, “It is a challenge no less to be seen in this really hot avatar while not quite exposing your skin since you are a woman in a corporate set-up. All credit to my late director and his wife Priya for making me look like that.”

So what happens in the film?

Rush Movie Review

  • Bollyspice
Shamin Desai’s debut film has gone through a lot to see the light of day. It arrives after much

controversy to do with its subject matter’s supposed clash with Rgv’s Rann. Both films deal with the power of media and the lengths people will go to utilise and gain from that power.

The film draws you in from the get going however after a brilliant start it takes a predictable turn. Yet somehow despite the predictability it keeps you quite engaged. As maker Dibaker Banarjee once said, you watch a story regardless of the climax because you want to know about the journey. You want to know how that end you’ve predicted will come about. Rush is one of those films. It requires you to not rush to disregard it just because you think you’ve got the plot all figured out. Stick around for notable

Mixed start for Ajab Gazabb Love, Rush; Soty leads : Trade News

Both the new releases of this Friday, Vashu Bhagnani’s Ajab Gazabb Love and Emraan Hashmi’s Rush, could not embark upon a good start. The film did show signs of a pick up during the latter shows, based on the audience feedback. On the other hand, Rush managed just about 20-30 percent at an all India level, but was much better at massy centers and single screens.Coming to the third release of week Read More...
