Friday's Legacy: Horror Conventions (2009)

*** (out of 4)

Entertaining ten-minute featurette that can be found on the Deluxe Edition of Friday THE 13TH PART II. This was shot at the Scarefest 2008 show, which featured a reunion for the original Friday THE 13TH and we get clips featuring Tom Savini, Henry Manfredini, Victor Miller,Betsy Palmer, Adrienne King, Ari Lehman as well as a quite interview with event manager Jeff Waldridge. Once again, fans of the film are going to enjoy this because it's basically a tribute to them. The cast members talk about the enjoyment they get out of coming to conventions and they all share their memories about them and why they think it's so good to connect with fans. The event manager also talks about why he wanted this to be one of the best horror conventions and how he would go to others to see the mistakes that were made just so he could correct them at Scarefest. With such a short running time there's nothing ground-breaking here but fans of the series should enjoy it.
