- In the Great Hall of Kattegat, a seer reads Earl Haraldson's future and tells him that Ragnar Lothbrok searches for his death.
- Earl Haraldson attacks Ragnar's farm intent on teaching him a lesson.They lay waste to much of the area killing all of his livestock and burning his buildings to the ground. A wounded Ragnar surrenders to give his family time to get to their boat. He manages to escape and is taken to Floki who nurses him back to health. Rollo meanwhile tells Haraldson that Ragnar must be dead and Rollo is allowed to stay. Siggy warns him him that her husband will kill him. Rollo should have heeded her warning as he is taken and tortured. When Ragnar hears what has happened he challenges Haraldson to personal combat. Haraldson meanwhile arranges a marriage for his daughter without consulting his wife - or his daughter.—garykmcd
- Feeling outsmarted and humiliated by the Lothbrok brothers, earl Haraldson has his men ransack Ragnar's farm, but Athelstan, Björn and Lagertha manage to sneak away by boat, badly wounded Ragnar dives from a cliff and is found and nursed by crazy Floki. Because the earl marries his only daughter Thyri to a rich, fat Swedish earl as a safe alliance without consulting her or his wife Siggy, they secretly betray his plans. Rollo, already Siggy's lover, is still caught and tortured as he refuses to tell Raganr's whereabouts.—KGF Vissers
- While hunting in the woods, Ragnar overhears screams and finds his farm is under attack of Earl Haraldson and his men that kills people, livestock and his entire farm. Ragnar is wounded and asks his family to flee to their boat. He surrenders to Haraldson to buy time for his family reach the boat but he lures and flee from Haraldson an his men, jumping off a cliff to the river. Athelstan jumps in the water and rescues Ragnar. Then they take him to Floki's home that shelters the family and heals Ragnar. Meanwhile Haraldson tortures Rollo to know Ragnar's whereabouts and arranges the marriage of his daughter with an old Earl to be more powerful against the will of Siggy and their daughter.—Claudio Carvalho, Rio de Janeiro, Brazil
