Tony has a heart attack and is forced to hand the family business over to his son, Jack; while Jack's past career efforts have not been successful, he is eager to finally step up and make his father ...
Three estranged siblings are brought together once again at their father's funeral. His last will states that they must bond as a family via games thought up by their late father or they won't inherit the $23 million he has left them.
I like many of the actors but I just can't find a single laugh. Kyle Bornheimer plays the son who returns home to keep the family fix-it company going after his father JK Simmons had a heart attack. They're joined by Leah Remini as the sister who's taking care of dad and her dopey son. The one company employee play by Edi Gathegi is just annoying. There's also Danielle Nicolet who's the hardware store clerk and possible love interest.
The problem is I just didn't like these characters. And they need to show absolute love and not just constant bickering. There is a mean spiritness that never quite works itself out. If you look at the list of actors, they all usually play sarcastic, grumpy people. There isn't one happy character actor in the bunch.
