- When Zoey doesn't return his "I love you," Walden retaliates by immediately picking up on another woman.
- Zoey's repeated inability to replay to Walden's sweet 'I love you' either when they fear his private jet might crash or just using a hurry as an excuse convinces him, against Alan's soothing advice, that she doesn't, so he dates Jennifer, the first fox he meets in an elevator. Lyndsey's drinking gets excessive, and even her vomiting a cause of incessant disgust for everyone in the beach-house. Walden finds out the root of Zoey's attitude.—KGF Vissers

Zoey and Walden are on his private plane coming back from dinner in San Francisco and she's apologizing to her ex for being late. She's going to London for a few weeks. Suddenly there's turbulence and the plane pitches. Walden says he loves her, she says she doesn't want to die. He points out that he said I love you and she says she knows and reiterates she doesn't want to die.
Back at the house Lyndsey has gotten drunk and Alan is concerned about it. She says she just needs a few glasses to loosen up. Walden comes home and he's depressed and Lyndsey thinks he should drink. He demurs. He then tells them what happened on the plane. And says after the plane leveled out they just sat in silence. He leaves to change his underwear since he peed a little when the plane pitched. Lyndsey and Alan dance around saying I love you and decide against it.
The next morning Walden admits to Alan he couldn't sleep and considers breaking up with Zoey. Alan tells him to be patient with Zoey that just because she didn't say it doesn't mean it doesn't mean she doesn't feel it. In the other room Lyndsey is retching and both Alan and Walden are having that sympathetic vomiting urge. Walden thinks if they're going to break up, now would be the time since she's going away. Alan tells him to go put his cards on the table
Walden goes to Zoey's and says he doesn't want to leave things the way they are.(He also rubs taking Zoey to San Francisco on a private jet for dinner into her ex Nigel's face.) She doesn't want to talk about it, as she's leaving for an important business trip. He says he's not trying to pressure her, he just wants a definitive answer whether she loves him or not. She says she can't do this now. He walks off muttering to himself that seems pretty definitive and he's done with relationships. Then he spies a hot blonde in the elevator and says "and I'm back."
Back at the house at breakfast Jake asks for $75 for a new videogame. He calls it an investment since, if he goes into the army after high school, he'll already know how to kill terrorists. Berta asks who had corn chowder last night since it's all over Alan's bathroom. Alan says Lyndsey got sick. Berta hands him a bucket and mop. Walden comes home with the hot blonde and they plan to walk on the beach. Alan intercepts and pulls Walden aside and tries to stop him. Zoey calls from the plane and says she feels bad about how they left things and she says the reason she hasn't said those words is because she's worried that when she does something bad will happen because it always does. She's about to pour out her heart and then the hot blonde walks in his bedroom. Zoey is livid saying she can't believe he couldn't even wait until her plane took off. She hangs up.
Alan is cleaning up Lyndsey's mess when Walden, gagging, comes in to explain what just happened. He says he's going to fly to London on his jet and beg for her forgiveness. He wants to bring Alan as a witness. Alan says he promised Lyndsey a romantic dinner. Walden says to bring her and since he's in a hurry he'll buy anything they need in London. Alan says Zoey might not say it but he will, and tells Walden he loves him.
On the plane Lyndsey is downing wine and Alan is scarfing down shrimp. Walden asks what Lyndsey's son said when she told him she was jetting to London. She says he asked her to bring back some English pot. Alan rhapsodizes that this is how to travel without boarding passes and security hassles.
Back at the house the hot blonde is still there. Jake offers her a beer. (She's 24.) He told her Walden would be right back.
On the plane, Lyndsey is drunk. She basically crawls on Walden to tell him what he's doing is so romantic. She tells Alan that she knows she gives him a hard time but she really really loves... but before she can finish she throws up on him, and then on Walden and then the plane windows.
They arrive in London, all wearing tourist t-shirts now, and Alan assures Zoey nothing happened between Walden and the blonde. She's still mad because he invited her neighbor Jennifer, "the whore from the 7th floor," back to his place and the only reason nothing happened is because she called and interrupted him. He says the fact is he loves her and he made a terrible mistake and he's sorry. She says nothing. They start to leave and she says she does love him too. He asks if she forgives him. She says it depends on whether he's going to go pick up another woman every time they fight. He says not as long as he knows she loves him. They kiss and make up. Alan tells Lyndsey he loves her, she says she loves him too. They kiss, and then she throws up in his mouth.
Back at the house, Jake is on the phone with Eldredge and bragging about bagging the hot blonde, who is smoking a cigarette in her underwear on the patio. He snaps a pic and says they did it five times and it was the best half hour of his life.
