The squad investigates the shooting death of 16-year-old Anthony Lewis, the star quarterback at Madison High School whom a patrol car finds dead in the front seat of his car. Assistant Chief Taylor fears this being gang-related, particularly as Anthony's brother Lamar is a highly-placed gang member. There have already been several racial incidents at Madison, and Taylor, whose son goes to that school, wants to ensure that it doesn't turn into a shooting gallery. Based on information from Anthony's coach, it appears that he was specifically targeted and the police begin to think it may be personal rather than gang-related. Rusty, meanwhile, seems completely uninterested in meeting his biological father, and Sharon wants to make sure he's making an informed decision. Written by

Did You Know?
But, Lieutenant, what did I miss? I thought... It seemed like we had the situation covered.
We're never... "covered." You have a partner, you have a gun, you have a camera, you have SIS and vests and dogs and patrol cars out the ass, and people still get hurt. Sharon... there is no defense against bad luck.
