I just love this show. I ran into it in the beginning of season 3 (i think 3? the most recent one) and just couldn't stop laughing. Im catching the older episodes here and there and wish they would do a full on weekend of redneck marathon.

So far for the the episode of when they went to Florida and got all guido'd (is that even a word?) up and enjoyed the night life was hilarious. The tanning situation they were put in along with the club and nude beach had me rolling, i must of watched that episode 2-3 times and its great every time.

The funny thing is although I don't really care for the guy one way or another but now he is kind of annoying? Still even with that the case I still love the show.

Great people, Great situations and awesome outcomes.

Just a bit shocked!

The rating the show has received is complete garbage. At the least, MBRV is no less than an 8. There's hilarity around every corner. If you're not laughing, you're obviously, either, not from the South or you're someone who is completely out of touch with what's going on today.

The trip to upscale New York is a bit better than their trip to England, but I believe it's due to the shock and awe value of the first vacation. Now folks know what these boys and girls are capable of. Still, I find myself busting a gut no matter what episode I watch. This is REAL reality television. They're not fake. I have no doubt, when back in Louisiana, they're no different one bit.(Maybe minus the all expenses paid). These are just great people who take their roots with 'em wherever they go.

For those of you throwing the very low ratings, if you don't like it, change the channel...or try and understand Southern culture. Those accents aren't made up, that's just the way folks down yonder talk. P.S. I miss talking like that when I lived in North Carolina. P.P.S. "If they can't understand the way you talk, they must not be from around these parts!"

a wonderful, southern redneck family take their traditions, accents, toys, and southern hospitality to the uppity lifestyle of the Hamptons.

Being from the South, I appreciate the language, the activities, the issues, and the accents. It cracks me up when the makers run the interpretation of what was said across the bottom of the screen. If you have ever lived in the South, you will appreciate the love the Clampets have for keeping it real! The producers did a great job getting the residents in the Hamptons to interact with the Clampets. It was rewarding to watch the relationships grow during the season. I do think the editors produced a lot of awkward silence/birds chirping when they wanted the viewer to feel like the moment was completely Redneck. In the end, it was nice to see that the Clampets changed the Hamptons and the Hamptons changed the Clampets. . . Well, some of them anyway.
