It's been a glamorous few weeks for Rosie Huntington-Whiteley - she's been in the South of France since the Cannes Film Festival last month, and now boyfriend Jason Statham has joined her getaway. On Saturday, Jason and Rosie hung out poolside in Cap d'Antibes, where Rosie rocked a bright green bikini when she wasn't showing Pda on a balcony with Jason. They were back out in the sun today, when Rosie lounged in a printed bikini and sarong while Jason stayed cool in a shirt. Jason made the trip overseas after wrapping work on Heat in Las Vegas and letting loose with the cast at a bash at Daylight Beach Club's Eclipse party. Jason had more than one reason to celebrate, though, since Fast & Furious 6 continued its box office success, landing at second place after its huge opening weekend at the beginning of the month. The English Teacher, which drips with an “indie” feel, has only one real problem, and that’s its internal struggle over whether or not to aim for subtlety. The story of a stereotypical ideal, in this case that of a bookworm nerd turned English teacher, this is a movie that starts out with that mocking notion many High Schoolers have of what certain teachers are like at home, and then drives a train through that life to see what we can make with the rubble. Apart from setting up our teacher, Linda Sinclair (Julianne Moore), as such an anti-role model for the book crowd (“See, that’s what people who read are like”), it’s an interesting concept, and potentially a fun ride. This is especially true when we move into the particulars of her fall from grace, and what she manages to do about it.
But, there’s a balancing act going on here, »

The indie dramedy The English Teacher tells the story of Linda Sinclair (Julianne Moore), a 40-year-old, unmarried high school English teacher in small town Pennsylvania. With no children and no relationships to speak of, her life is uncomplicated, which is just how she likes it. Her greatest passion and her biggest fulfillment comes from helping her impressionable young students discover their own creative voices, until a former star student (Michael Angarano) returns and threatens to undo it all. During this recent exclusive phone interview with Collider, co-stars Julianne Moore and Michael Angarano talked about how they came to the project, what they enjoyed most about playing their characters, and how much they enjoyed the experience of working with each other. Julianne also spoke about the next film she’ll be shooting, Maps to the Stars, directed by David Cronenberg, while Michael spoke about how he’s shooting the remake of Heat with Jason Statham, »

Not to be confused with the John Wells-directed drama of the same name starring Bradley Cooper, Jon Favreau's Chef will instead be an indie comedy both directed by and starring Favreau himself. Joining him will be the world-renowned billionaire-playboy-philanthropist Tony Stark Robert Downey Jr. The story centers on "a man (Favreau) who loses his chef job and starts up a food truck to reclaim his artistic promise and reclaiming his estranged family." Also starring are Sofia Vergara, John Leguizamo and Bobby Cannavale. Hit the jump for casting news for Nicole Kidman and Stephen Lang. Variety reports that Downey Jr. and Favreau will team up for Chef. Favreau had the following to say about the picture: “Setting a film in the culinary world of Los Angeles offers wonderful opportunities for a character driven comedy.” In less savory news, Deadline reports that Kidman will be executive producing and starring in »

The remake of Heat starring Jason Statham got knocked down a couple pegs recently when Brian De Palma opted not to direct, and Con-Air and The Expendables 2 helmer Simon West took over. While West is good at fun action, it would have been nice to see someone like De Palma work with Statham. Anyway, the film is still on track and recently Sofia Vergara joined the cast. Now some more supporting members have turned up as Deadline reports Stanley Tucci, Michael Angarano, Anne Heche, Hope Davis, Milo Ventimiglia and Cedric the Entertainer have all joined the the remake of the 1986 thriller. More below! For those just joining us, Statham is playing Nick Escalante, a compulsive gambler who works "security" jobs in Las Vegas. When his prostitute friend (Vergara) gets roughed up by a sadistic member of the mob, Escalante turns vigilante and heads out for revenge. Angarano will play »

Sofia Vergara went back to Colombia this past weekend to celebrate Barranquilla's Bicentennial, her hometown.
On Sunday, in the Plaza de la Paz, Barranquilla celebrated its two centuries with a spectacle of lights, videos and music. The actress got on stage along with other well known personalities and sang Colombia's national anthem amid a carnaval of streamers and a chorus of children all dressed in white.
That afternoon, the mayor honored four people from Barranquilla who have been recognized internationally: Sofia Vergara, former baseball player Edgar Rentería, designer Silvia Tcherassi and singer Shakira, who was not able to attend the event.
"Every time I'm in Barranquilla, I see it's gotten better," said the actress during a press conference. "I'm so happy to be in Barranquilla. This is my home, these are my people and I'm proud to be Barranquillera and happy to have celebrated my land's 200 years with so many »

• After a reported six months of negotiations, Jason Sudekis, Jason Bateman, and Charlie Day are set to reprise their roles as Kurt, Nick, and Dale for Horrible Bosses 2. The first film grossed over $200 million worldwide on a $35 million budget, so it’s no surprise that New Line was eager to try out a sequel. Business aside, this seems like great news. Not only is the cast remaining intact, we’re getting the same writing (John Francis Daley, Jonathan Goldstein) and directing (Seth Gordon) team, and Jamie Foxx is still in talks to reprise his role as Motherf—– Jones too. »
