Again, the episode is totally missing decent plotting and decent emotional journeys.Why does the act of turning off someone's life support become a story about a criminal waving a gun around?And why are we supposed to sympathise with the criminal, as Sid once again falls for a hang dog expression and declares criminals shouldn't be punished if they feel really bad about it?Why does Ruby let the man who indirectly caused her mother's death and then stripped her of what dignity she had left sit around looking sad as they pull the plug on her?What rubbish.
At least there's some decent Walker family drama going on here.Alan is shaping up to be a really hateful villain and one that actually seems to inhabit the same world as the audience.Dexter is annoying and Colleen is very annoying but there's a nice character arc for Sasha and Indigo finally tells Romeo a few home truths.It's a shame we have to deal with the hospital's absurd overreaction towards Sid and Roo breaking up with him yet again.
