In one of the opening scenes there is a painting of the "crying boy" hanging in the Collingwoods house. Rumour has it that the picture is cursed and in fact there were a series of news stories about it back in 1985. Houses would burn down wherever a copy of the picture was found. The creepy thing is, whilst filming one of the opening scenes of Any Minute Now one of the lights exploded and actually caused a small fire.
Some of the cast and crew were convinced that one of the houses they were staying in while they were filming was haunted after hearing and seeing mysterious things around the house, some of the actors refused to stay in the house on their own.
During the filming of the grave yard scene in the snow the weather was so bad that after six hours the cast and crew had ice on the inside of their shoes.
