A nice story
9 November 2013 | by (India) – See all my reviews

This episode is a start to a nice story, which is actually believable.

Ashoka and company train self defense to a handful of rebels in a newly found separatist controlled planet. But, it thus leads to terrorism and a full out freedom movement, and a war on a second front. Ashoka there is united with a past friend.

Is it right to train a pocket of rebels so they can overthrow a ruler. Maybe or maybe not. It is am engaging episode with some well choreographed action scenes, but it is low on "emotion" value, which I think is what the makers were trying to do. You do not feel the attachment towards the characters, i'e' if one of them is to die, you won't feel bad or sad about it. Except Ashoka of-course. Maybe it is intentional as Cartoon Network is viewed by little children too, who prefer action to some emotional drama. And one more thing, that nudge in the back scene seems a little irritating to me because of the fact that it was repeated a few times :/.

Direction/animation: Good!.

Script: Good.

Music: Great!.

Overall an engaging and enjoyable episode.
