According to a new report from the folks at Soapcentral, we're about to see a new doctor character show up on the "Bold And The Beautiful" scene in late July 2017. He's going to be played by French-American actor Gilles Marini (above). His guest appearance is being described as a very pivotal arc. Also, they say his Summer storylines are supposed be very juicy. Getting back to his character description. They're told that he will be a doctor who has to unexpectedly treat a character in Monaco. He's expected to show up onscreen in two episodes that will start on Friday, July 28th,2017. So, be sure to look out for him on that date. Gilles Marini's acting resume includes roles in HBO's hit drama "Sex and The City" and Lifetime's "Devious Maids," "Brothers and Sisters," "Ugly Betty," "Dirty Sexy Money," "Two Broke Girls," and Switched at Birth. He also competed in seasons 8 and 15 of ABC's hit dancing show, "Dancing With the Stars." He was also previously cast on "The Bold And The Beautiful" as different characters for a couple of one-episode stints in 2005 and 2007. He played an Italian bicycle rider on the now defunct "Passions" soap opera way back in 2006. In addition to the whole treating a patient storyline, they also mentioned that Gilles arc will include some characters traveling to Monte Carlo for the annual Spencer Summit. There's also going to be a swimwear fashion show challenge that's going to pit the Spectra and Forrester fashion houses against each other. So, that certainly sounds like that could give us some pretty intense storylines to look forward to. Unfortunately, they didn't mention which other characters we'll see in Monte Carlo. But hopefully, some more info will pop up before that date. Be sure to follow us for more "Bold And The Beautiful" news coverage on our "Bold And The Beautiful" Facebook page by Clicking Here. »

Gloria Calderon Kellett: Kellett’s Twitter account
If “this is it” for “One Day at a Time” co-showrunner Gloria Calderon Kellett, then she must be having a ball. The co-creator and Ep of the updated Norman Lear series has inked an overall deal with Sony Pictures TV, Deadline writes. The two-year agreement will see Kellett continue as exec producer and co-showrunner of the Justina Machado and Rita Moreno-toplined Netflix comedy. Kellett will also have the opportunity to develop and direct other projects for Sony via her production company, Big Girl Pants Pictures.
“One Day at a Time” — a modern reboot of Lear’s ’70s sitcom of the same name — centers on the Alvarezes, a Cuban-American family. Machado plays divorced veteran and single mom Penelope and Moreno portrays Penelope’s mother, Lydia. Isabella Gomez (“Matador”) and newcomer Marcel Ruiz star as Penelope’s kids, and Todd Grinnell (“Grace and Frankie”) plays the family’s friend and building manager, Schneider. Lear serves as an Ep on the show alongside Kellett and co-creator/co-showrunner Mike Royce (“Everybody Loves Raymond”).
“Kellett pulled from her own life experience in shaping the show,” Deadline details. “Her parents immigrated to America from Cuba during Operation Peter Pan.”
The series’ first season, which debuted in January, has tackled subjects like Ptsd, white privilege, and sexism. It will return for Season 2 in 2018.
Kellett cut her teeth writing on “How I Met Your Mother” from 2005 to 2007. She won an Alma award for penning the episode “How I Met Everyone Else.” “Rules of Engagement,” “Devious Maids,” and “iZombie” are among her other credits.

ABC’s Gospel is undergoing a significant tweak.
The series (watch the trailer here) revolves around Jason Ritter’s Jason, a cluelessly self-serving person on a dangerous path to despair. In a downward spiral, Kevin returns home to stay with his widowed twin sister (JoAnna Garcia Swisher) and niece. On his first night there, an unlikely celestial being named Yvette (now played by Gregory) appears to him and presents him with a mission — to save the world. »

Williams’ character may be referring to The Lunch Hour — a fictional daytime talk show not unlike, say, The View — but her words are just as relevant to Daytime Divas, itself. Monday’s series premiere, an hourlong parade of brawls, backstabs and bitchy one-liners, is a solid sampling of what the grade-a guilty pleasure has to offer. »
With the summer fast approaching, I'm sure people are gearing up for some guilty pleasures. But two of my favorites won't be returning, leaving a void in my summer TV viewing, and prompting me to seek out some new ones. ABC canceled Mistresses after four seasons, and Lifetime nixed Devious Maids from its summer lineup after four seasons. However, there are a few new shows that look like they could fill the summer TV void.
Eva Longoria is a woman of many hats.
Not just because she dons an assortment of them as Margot Beste-Chetwynde, a feminist and bourgeois widow, in the 1930s-set miniseries Decline and Fall, premiering in the U.S. Monday, May 15 on Acorn TV. But Longoria, who funded her quinceañera working at a Wendy's in her hometown of Corpus Christi, Texas, at 15 years old, is a bona fide go-getter.
That same moxie eventually landed the 42-year-old stalwart her breakout role as the amusingly self-obsessed, gardener-bedding Gabrielle Solis on ABC's juicy dramedy Desperate Housewives. Later, she worked behind the camera, producing and directing episodes of Lifetime's Devious Maids and NBC's short-lived romp Telenovela, which also cast her as a lurid soap star.

Women, especially Latina women can accomplish whatever they set their mind too, regardless of the pushback they’ve received throughout the years and Eva Longoria is proof of just that. The award-winning actress, producer, director and activist has proved to the world that Latinas have a place and say in the roles they take. She is one of those actresses that never seems to forget where she came from.
In this profile interview with Makers, “a storytelling platform for the trailblazing women of today and tomorrow,” Longoria remembers the moment that turned her career around. While in college, she went »
