Alicia clashes with her fellow members of a blue ribbon panel investigating a police shooting, while also trying to put the winning offer on her old house. Meanwhile, Eli, David, and Julius continue to make a play for Will's seat.

Storyline

Alicia is appointed to a blue ribbon police review board but it soon becomes apparent that most of the participants aren't ready to dig into a police shooting in any great depth. When she pursues the issue, it's clear she's rocking the boat and is warned there might be consequences. She perseveres. Alicia is also in the market for a house and makes an offer on her previous home. She runs into some surprising competition. Alicia is also representing Kalinda in her dispute with the IRS but after a meeting with them gets a visit from the FBI. At the firm, the knives are still out for Will Gardner with three hoping to replace him as a named partner. They also want to strip him of any profit participation while he is not practicing law.

A Blue Ribbon Episode ****

Excellent episode where Alicia is asked by Diane to serve on a blue ribbon panel investigating the tragic shooting of a good Samaritan by a police officer who thought the Samaritan was coming to the aid of a criminal. Besides having racial overtones, the case could conceivably depict Peter in a bad light.

Matthew Perry, in his debut on the show, is excellent as the vicious head of the panel.

It's really a shame that everything now has to be related to race relations and politics.

Alicia soon figures out who bought the house. How do you like the ethics showed by the woman selling the house? It's really a dog eat dog world out there.

Diane and Will find a way to thwart those who want Peter's seat during his suspension. Leave it to the dynamic duo to outwit their fellow members in the firm.
