Ben and Kate Pilot
25 September 2012 | by (Ireland) – See all my reviews

Ben (Nat Faxton) and Kate (Dakota Johnson) are brother and sister with Ben acting like a child and Kate already having a child. He moves in with her, and it seems like now she is taking care of two children. There are also some more supporting characters including a British Lucy Punch and also pal Tommy. Ben then finds out about his ex girlfriend that she is getting married so he decides to crash her wedding. Kate then decides to help him plan the wedding crash to get back with her. Before going through with the place Kate must go on a date and be sexy. When BJ gives her some advice it's funny to see her draw attention to her mouth by placing so much things near it. When Kate accepts the date from her guy but with Ben on the phone he learns that he already has a girlfriend. After she breaks up with the guy they rush to the wedding to stop Darcy from getting married. When they get to the wedding they re an hour late as the wedding has already taken place and they were too late. At the end of the episode under the table is used as a place to talk where Ben finally decides to move in for real. The set up of the show is nice and I feel the main two have great chemistry but the pilot lacked much humor for me.

EPISODE GRADE: B- (MVP: Dakota Johnson)
