Deadline reports Addison Timlin and Michelle Krusiec have joined the cast of the MacGyver TV series pilot at CBS. They join Lucas Till (Angus MacGyver), George Eads (Lincoln Croix), and Joshua Boone (Gunner). Timlin played Rachel Lewis on the Zero Hour TV series, which was cancelled in 2013 by ABC after only three episodes aired. Eventually, the network burnt off the remaining ten.
On MacGyver, Deadline says, "Timlin will play Mickey, an app developer who’s aggressively progressive in her political views, with a soft spot for MacGyver. Krusiec plays Agent Croix, Lincoln’s (Eads) sister who works for the Department of Homeland Security."

When it comes to figuring out why spy series MacGyver is getting a TV reboot, your guess is as good as mine, but today brings some news about what it’s going to look like, in the form of two cast additions.
Addison Timlin, known best for Californication but most familiar to this writer as the love interest for Anton Yelchin in Stephen Sommers’ under-appreciated Odd Thomas, has boarded the CBS project in the lead female role. She’s playing Mickey, an app developer who’s aggressively progressive in her political views but harbors a soft spot for Lucas Till’s MacGyver. Meanwhile, Michelle Krusiec (Hawaii Five-o) will play Agent Croix, who works for the Department of Homeland Security and is sister to a character named Lincoln (George Eads).

Anthony Edwards has been cast in the CBS drama pilot “Drew,” which is a modern take on the Nancy Drew mystery novels, TheWrap has learned. Can't get enough Wentworth Miller from your standard television diet? Well fret not! In addition to the upcoming series, "DC's Legends of Tomorrow," Fox has now confirmed that they are hard at work at a "Prison Break" reboot event series. Very much in the vein of 2014's "24: Live Another Day," the word "event" seems to indicate a one-time return to a much-beloved series.
For those unfamiliar to the original mid-2000s series, "Prison Break" followed Wentworth Miller's character Michael Scofield, who purposely got himself sent to prison in order to free his wrongfully-accused brother. The series lasted four seasons, and was a perfect companion piece to "24," and it was one of the early examples of American serialized TV before it completely dominated in more recent years.
So far, the details as to what the plot of the series will entail are limited, but according the press release, the juicy details will follow soon. »
