The Worst Part About the Movie is The Length and Pace. Story is predictable.

Not thrilling, Movie Show Just A Part of Raw Agent Life how they managed all the things when they get too attached to personal things.

But I can say that well tried makers atleast we get to know about Hardy Sandhu Acting Skills, - Appreciable.

I would like to give 2 Stars, that's it.

Somewhere it was reminding me of Bard of Blood Web Series.

Code Name Tiranga (2022) : Movie Review -

Harrdy Sandhu and Parineeti Chopra star in Ribhu Dasgupta's spy-action-drama "Code Name: Tiranga". We have seen all the theories that a spy action drama can use in India, be it patriotism, terrorism, revenge drama, true events, thrillers, and woman-led flicks. So, now what's left for Code Name: Tiranga? Nothing, actually. And yet they made this film. A big salute to their guts, instead of the patriotism they showed in the film. The film is dried out of all those old theories of patriotic spy dramas, with below-par entertaining values and badly executed thrills. Mainstream contemporary cinema is way ahead of time than what we get to see in this flick that doesn't really stay honest to a single conflict.

The film is about a female RAW agent, Durga Singh (Parineeti Chopra), who meets Dr. Mirza (Harrdy Sandhu) accidentally. The two begin an affair in no time, and a moment later, they are married. Durga, who has kept her identity secret, has to reveal her true face while giving a finishing touch to her biggest mission. The two depart in their own ways, but destiny brings them together again. She continues her search for the most wanted terrorist, Khalid Omar (Sharad Kelkar), along with her colleague Ajay Bakshi (Dibyendu Bhattacharya). Code Name: Tiranga unveils many secrets by the end, but none of them is actually that suspenseful.

Parineeti Chopra shows off her action-packed avatar in Code Name: Tiranga, and she is damn good at it. She is bold and beautiful, but in this film, she is powerful too. She does not forget to challenge an actor within herself during a couple of emotional scenes. Harrdy Sandhu was surprisingly good in his debut film "83," and he continues in that vein here. Harrdy and Parineeti share some fantastic romantic scenes, even though the execution is poor. I gotta salute the consistency of Dibyendu Bhattacharya. What an amazing talent he is. He just makes it look so much better, even if it's a poorly written one, than it would have been with any other actor. And what to say about this guy, Sharad Kelkar? He has a voice of his own, and that makes his characters impressive. He plays Khalid Omar so well, and that middle-east look is a fresh change for him.

Talking about plus points, Code Name Tiranga had some good action sequences led by Parineeti Chopra. Rarely do we see female stars doing high-octane action stunts, and this film is exactly that. From the teaser and trailer, it looked like Code Name: Tiranga would be a very bad film, but it is not. Till the interval point, it is a very decent film, but then the flaws in the second half drag the mission down. The negative points are too many, but the writing and screenplay remain on top. The technical aspects are still considerably watchable, but the logic part is a big mess. Code Name: Tiranga cracks no new codes for spy dramas, rather it misuses the old ones with less knowledge of binary.

Coming to the direction of Ribhu Dasgupta, there are many things that have gone wrong. First, the vision of making a film 137 minutes long when there was no need to. Actually, there was no story that could be stretched so far. It could have been wrapped within 2 hours and saved 15-17 minutes of boredom, but Ribhi had to keep the unnecessary elements in the final cut for some unknown reason. What causes more damage is mediocrity falling apart from the first scene in the second half. It has so many turnarounds in the last 15 minutes that you wonder why they had to show those early 120-minute buildups when these things were already planned. Dasgupta's mission has no proper agenda to attend to, hence making it a deceived mission. It's good that the film is releasing with low buzz, otherwise many would have torn it apart.

Director careless

I watched the movie with lots of interest, but turned out to be same stuff like tiger Zinda hai types.

First of all the actress 's face looked looked so stoic, no expression whatsoever. Being a RAW aspirant i would like to know which salon did the actress go to do her manicure so well. The mission just starts off out off the blue with no story or a serious plot except gun shot here nd there. All the good actors are there but the main actress. Every bit of her is so beautiful that she hardly gave the impression of someone rough and tough who endured so much pain before carrying out past missions.

Dissapointing!!!

None of the cast stand out. The film's wafer-thin plot and insipid subplots are even more disappointing than the film itself. Avoid movie as you would avoid terrorism.

Durga , posing as a journalist in Kabul , convinces Mirza, a half-Turkish doctor, to fall in love with her and marry her. In order for her to gain access to Mirza's friend's wedding, which is expected to be attended by wanted terrorist Khalid Omar.

The operation goes wrong.

Khalid flees, leaving dead people in his wake and a shocked doctor watching his wife of a few months sprinting after armed thugs with a gun in her hand.

Movie reminds you of Naam Shabana and Dhaakad. When compared to Kangana Ranaut in Dhaakad, Parineeti Chopra is less of a femme fatale.

Cringe fest

Please don't waste your time like I unfortunately did.

This is Quite simply, one of the worst movies I've watched.

The storyline is Ridiculous.

No thought has been given on casting whatsoever. The actors supposed to represent spies and terrorists were way off the mark.

Although Some of the locations chosen for the film were stunning, the acting and storytelling were abysmal.

Another cringe worthy performance from Chopra. Her portrayal of a RAW agent was laughable. I was actually embarrassed on her behalf.

Instead of a spy thriller, you get an extremely predictable, third rate action movie.

To kill with boredom

This movie is another reason, which is adding to the known mystery as why Bollywood movies aren't working any more.

Same old repeated stuff, same old movies based on one stuck up particular mind set.

Lately, if you write a review on any movie except for Bollywood it's immediately uploaded, whereas and i am sure this one too, will be reviewed in order to see if the review is worth.

The down side to it, the movie is not even worth watching, as it so loosely made, though some areas well thought off, especially the actress strong attempt of speaking foreign languages, but then again like i said, there is a particular mind frame with Bollywood and they will always consider everyone associated to be the same. For instance, the wedding scene shown they don't dress up at all like that, anywhere in the world except for Bollywood movies.

Basic lesson for any spy, no facial expressions, but through out the movie Parineeti Chopra was having it the most. The weakest point. Though it appears she work hard for the movie, but all in all the movie is complete waste of time, meaningless and having nothing to offer.

Waste of Time- poor and illogical script!

This is utter nonsense, don't the crew research well when making movies? People don't die even with round of bullets and grenade and that too without a bulletproof vest? People held captive is left in an empty house? The whole movie is a question! A lot of money and time wasted! Please review your plot before u make a movie for the public and that too or being a patriotic one! People entering the surveillance room just like that with the compound heavily guarded! A movie doesn't get thrilling if you just twist the plot, it has to make sense also!

Nothing great to see in this movie, maybe just some good scenic beauty in the places shown.

Don't waste time

Don't waste time on this movie, no link in story, character is a superwoman who even don't die on a grenade blast. Don't want to waste time on commenting on a movie like this. Typical Indian movie, with no head and tail. Can't believe in todays world people are investing in such a foolish story. Basically this movie is made on Neighboring rivals. Character Durga is not less than a superwoman who can do anything anytime. Something which can be appreciated is Mirza acting. Honestly it's difficult to watch complete movie as toooo much foolishness in complete story. Difficult to digest the movie....

Good Story Marred By Insensible Screenplay

What do you expect from a filmmaker in an era of films with a realistic touch? A sensible, easily digestible screenplay with a touch of reality in actions, of course. But it's not the case here. The female protagonist, who is wincing with pain a little earlier owing to a bullet wound in the soft flesh of her stomach and is not even able to move properly, gets suddenly fit and agile to combat a gang of terrorists and even rides a motorcycle. Only a filmaker who has been smoking weed all day can think of such supernatural transformation of his film characters.

It is a loose loose loose screenplay with very little brain applied while writing it. Parineeti looks unconvincing as a RAAW agent and her act is superficial at times. Harrdy Sandhu plays his role well, and so do Rajit Kapoor, Sharad Kelkar and Dibyendu.

The compositions and music is below average. The director could have used the great locations in Turkey to a better effect, had he thought of working hard on the music part.

Very routine spy thriller

Stop making spy thrillers when you cant introduce anything novel in it, alteast in story or execution. CNT is a very routine spy thriller that you have seen in hundreds of films of this genre coming from Bollywood.

They tried to infuse some romantic angle as well to the film but it is so poorly established that it has no juice in it to make you feel for the two love birds. Not every spy thriller with romance can equal Alia Bhatt's Raazi which i feel did a way better job in this genre. CNT has shades of Raazi and even some ETT vibes but as i said , does not have a personality of its own. The sequence of Mast Kalandar is also very routine seen before in D-Day.

The climax is straight up copied from Force 2 and it is extremely underwhelming. Whoever thought of including a deshbhakti BGM while the climax FPP fight unfolds needs to think again next time. You see Force 2 's climax, the rock BGM made the fight sequences look adrenaline pumping and exciting. Dont just include deshbhakti songs wherever you feel like.

The action scenes are good thats why i give the film some points although none of the action scenes are "never seen before". There is also one twist towards the end which also was good but its not anything smart or something you havent seen before.

If you see this film, you will realize how good Alia Bhatt was in Raazi as she beautifully shouldered the film all by herself. Parineeti is no Alia Bhatt and though she tries hard, she leaves no impact. Sharad Kelkar is a terrorist and we are forced to believe that because the film says so without showing any proof. Others are decent. Harry Sandhu is totally wasted as he has absolutely nothing to contribute in the entire story.

The love story was never needed. It didnt add anything to the main plot. You dont feel for the love birds at all.

Overall, a very ordinary spy thriller that doesnt have its own characteristics but rather inherits them from other successful hindi films. If interested still, watch it on OTT .

Good film idk why its trashed.

Its pretty decent film, parineetichopra has done exceptional work but I think she is not star kid that's why everyone is trashing her films. But this one is nice movie. Good entertaining. I love action and songs too. Hardy too is good actor.

Parineeti should be applauded for her inspiring work.

Movie is made in a good work atleast better than doctor G which is too preachy and outdated. People should watch this film and give it more stars guys its not that great, pari is more talented than ananya sonakshi sinha sara khan jhanvi kapoor shanaya kapoor shraddha kapoor etc etc please give due....

Not as bad as some reviewers rate; one time watch

This film is not going to win any awards or show up on favorite lists. But it is also not as bad as some reviews indicate.

For me, the biggest weakness was the last FPS approach to cinematography in the finale action scenes. It felt like it was lifted from some common FPS game with little to no engagement with the story. Lots of violence, weapon switching and gore, it ruined what the movie had built up.

Contrary to some reviewer claims, Parineeti Chopra - the lead has done pretty decent job. Maybe a good looking female action hero is just not what those reviewers are comfortable with. Of course she is shown with unrealistic capabilities / luck but which lead action hero isn't? Supporting actors have done a very good job and they all fit well. Shared Kelkar shines in his role in particular - maybe the best performer of all.

I wish filmmakers would tone down solo action hero doing irrational and unbelievable acts and instead show a thoughtful action hero who behaves at least somewhat rationally. But alas, that is not how Bollywood scripts get written.

Bland acting, robotic dialogues

Only good thing about movie is locations. Acting is worst and agents not at all look like agents. Casting is worst. Enemies are shown foolish. Any one is entering their homes / places of hiding or where ever they want and they don't know anything. Main lead is shown having Tom Cruise like one man army capabilities but with worse intent, nil expressions, zero emotions and total disinterest in doing acting. Even running by Parineeti looks fake. At least some training must have been given on how to run. Zero research done on technical aspects. Couldn't watch for more than 30 minutes. Only Sharad Kelkar is good looks reasonable on personal level.

Topped for me in the worst category made film

This film made me to think what were the director thinking while making this film. I am sure all the people who create the flim have some expectation that it will be like 3 Idiots making history, Come on what were you thinking it will top the box office with such pathetic film. Weak story is an understatement, infact no storyline, poor screenplay, fits and pieces copied from here and there, even a randomized script would do a better job than this one. Even watching on Netflix is making me feel as if watching the movie is an utter crime by wasting my own time. I could very well sleep and make better use of the time. And advice to Pariniti, try doing some web series some goodones better than working in movies likethis.

DISAPPOINTING!

Once again the filmmaker of this action based film (as has been the case with many many Indian movies in the recent past)continued to defy conventional wisdom/basic sensible logic and continued to have the hero/heroine defying near fatal injuries and somehow continue with their daredevilry in an unaffected manner thus marring a decent storyline. When movies such as VIKRAM(which followed the same senseless formula ) turn out to be superduper hits this encourages the filmmaker to churn out more illogical garbage. Unfortunately the Indian audiences lap up this rubbish like they do with the absolute trash made with Salman Khan,ShahRukh Khan and now Aamir Khan. All in all an opportunity to convert a decent plot into a decent film has gone awry!

Copied from Fauda and extremely disappointing

This looked like an attempt which should not have been made. From the start to the finish, it feels like an extremely lazy attempt by the director, the actors, and the entire crew.

The opening wedding sequence is a straight lift from Fauda (in fact a lot of elements of the film are copied from Fauda). However unlike Fauda, this is extremely poorly acted and executed.

Parineeti is an extremely poor actor. I rarely use extremely; but here in this case is true. An example, she is considered the "best man for the job", to eliminate a rogue RAW agent- Bakshi.

In one scene, she tries the "FBI kick the door while gun is pointed" thing on a door, but her kick is so damn poor, that the door just barely swings open, showing RAW's best agent has such a poor kick.

In another scene, she is interrogating an older woman who is wearing glasses. So, she slaps the woman, but WEIRDLY, the glasses neither leaves a mark, or a bruise or even, get this, make the GLASSES TO FALL OFF HER FACE. Wow. The best RAW agent?

In most of her scenes, she chases goons for miles but when she finally catches them, there is no visible sweat or perspiration, or even half of a panting. It's almost like she stepped out of her morning sheets to make her some tea and not ran half a mile.

The direction by Dasgupta is very amateurish, almost resembling a high school short film project dissertation. May be this film is a step towards making better films but he seriously needs to get his direction chops right.

Another Agenda Driven Bollywood Crap - MAC Reviews

What a pathetic piece of work by Ribhu Dasgupta. Just successfully wasted 2hrs 14mins on this crap.

+ves : The only good thing about this movie was Set designs. The film was shot beautifully in Turkey. Instead of making it a film, they should have made it a music video.

-ves : Well its a long list but we would mention it one by one. First of all pathetic acting performances by the whole cast e.g. Parineeti, Hardy & even Sharad Kelker as well. Pari looks completely misfit for this character of Special Ops Agent Durga. She was expressionless throughout the movie. Hardy Sandhu's acting performance was not convincing as well. Next thing is the weak plot or should I say no plot at all. The film had nothing to offer. In such movies, Plot is the main hero but in here, there was no proper plot of the film. The director tries to show an emotional angle between the lead couple but it falls flat. They had no chemistry at all. Unnecessary emotional scenes were added in the movie. Action sequences were illogical and over the top. Come on its not 1990s. I dont know why India is so much obsessed with Pakistan & ISI that they keep selling their product over such labels? The audience is mature enough that they know bollywood cannot always sells its product in the name of Patriotism or Anti-Muslim/Anti-Pakistani Agenda! Moreover, they are not even hesitant to twist truthful events like Khulbushan Yadav Case. Screenplay was really poor & the editing was pathetic. 25-30 mins could be chopped off easily. Dialogues was pathetic except for the last monologue of Pari. Moreover, CGI was extremely terrible especially in that Bomb blast scene.

To conclude, If you want to save your time, money & energy then skip this one. Believe me you wont regret my advice. Crap!

NO STORY LITERALLY POINTLESS

Parineeti & Harrdy looks good together, other than that there is no story at all in this movie. I am shocked that why Sharad Kelkar said yes to this part can't even praise him here because there was nothing to do for him here such an aimless storyline going from nowhere to nowhere. Sorry but action scenes are also not believable. Pure waste of time. Why Netflix bought this movie I think there is no screening process there nowadays they are literally buying any movies. 1 star is for Sharad Kelkar & for few scenes between Parineeti and Harrdy. What was the point of making this movie pls explain.

A High octane espionage thriller

Parineeti 1st time as a raw agent & she do justice to the Role. A Gripping story line with very good cast . Dibyendu Bhattacharya is a consistent performer, Rajit Kapur, Hardy Sandhu very much impressive. Story always give goosebumps & very fast. Ribhu Dasgupta has written a gripping storyline.

Why people are finding this movie irritating and stuff!!!! But I personally recommend you'll to watch this!! Don't go by the negative side , do give it a watch!!! Idk there's this new trend going on if 4-5 start negative review the other majority does the same!! Stop it mann! Give it a watch !! Amazing acting done by the casts!!Good story line !! This is my first time writing a review so bare with me!! Should've been released in theatres !! Good job!:)

Not bad but could have been better

Acting -rajat Kapoor good Lead actor -sandhu decent Parineeti Chopra -fabulous in few scenes like at the beginning but during chase scenes it think she tried imitating terminators .She could have emoted it better . She looked fab in black t shirt .How drastically has she changed her physique is commendable

Sharad kelkar-decent actor but wasted here ISI agent - veteran actor but not fully utilised here Cinematography -excellent the strongest USP of this movie Music --decent enjoyed humming duma dum mast kalandar.

BGS-good Direction --decent but seems he played too kuch of Max Payne or tomb raider video games that's why the climax action felt like watching those games video .

Overall good one timer but could have better Never mind box office flop but it will gain recognition in OTT platforms .

Nice performance

The movie was good. A slightly old and similar storyline. But the performances don't deserve the ratings it is getting right now. Just because Parineeti is not a Kapoor or a Khan , the movie will get trashed this way ? It's unexpected. Parineeti is a stunning and hardworking performer who is exploring as many genres of work possible . Hardy Sandu is a stunner too. Critics need to be less harsh on the non-Kapoor/khan kids. The movie was good , performance was good. Songs were okay. And it definitely deserves an IMDb of 5+ atleast. What's with the 1-2 ratings seriously. It's very unruly and unnecessary.

At last an espionage thriller to watch with family!.

It's a decent movie with good plot. Woman power movie has to have love angle but hit has been portrayed well and clinically. One of the few Bhaaratiya films which takes you to different countries. Worth watching.

Yes, agreed, it could have been better that this. Being an espionage film, it lacks speed and thus you feel the thrill is compromised. And also the cinematography could be been wonderful with such exotic locations. And lastly the intensity was lacking.

The surprise was the last action scenes were in video game pov mode. Pariniti Chopra, Sharad Kelkar were good. In fact all actors were good. But intensity and drama were lacking. Maybe Director must have want soft touch. Guess this lacking may make it family movie. But then it should have had some gloss and mood styling. Anyways it's not a waste of time at least.

Good for one time viewing

Not sure why this movie is so lowly rated . Watched it on Netflix . Liked it very much . Good for one time viewing . Might be a bit difficult for a everyday guy to understand , " double agent " , " mole " etc. But for someone like me who grew up on thrillers , spy novels / movies , really liked a hard core Indian Spy Thriller movie . Watch it with some amount of attention. You will grasp the movie & like it.

Also these sort of patriotic movies need our support . Lot of Anti- India feelings within the country and also outside . People need to realize that we are there because India is a free , independent, democracy . More enemies withn the country than outside.
