Phryne is once again in the right place at the right time, and on hand to investigate the death of a young man at a bookstore, it appears to be natural causes, but Phryne digs away.
It's a very well crafted mystery, it raises the question of Israel, which can of course be a tricky subject, but it's well handled, and not biased, and doesn't try and make political points.
I wasn't a fan of the previous episode, but this one was very good, I loved all of that premise about alchemy and the man's desire to turn metal into gold, the conclusion was very satisfying.
Bert and Cec are really great fun, they made for a really good double act, they add a lighter side.
Very good, 8/10.
