Storyline

Ranze Etou is a very special girl: her mother is a werewolf, her father is a vampire and she herself has the ability to shapeshift. In spite of all this, she strives to lead the life of an ordinary human schoolgirl. Her one ambition is to get with the young handsome athlete Shun Makabe, which is complicated by the fact that all supernatural creatures must keep their identity hidden from the human world. To make matters worse, another girl, a gangster's daughter named Yoko Kamiya, is trying to claim Shun for herself. Will Ranze ever manage to get with Shun? Written by Q. Leo Rahman

A great anime with fantasy, humor and shocking surprises
18 June 2016 | by (Canada) – See all my reviews

Here's an underrated anime series from the 80s I automatically love after watching it online. I found it to be a comedy with supernatural elements like in "Bewitched".

Ranze Etō may seem like a normal teenage girl. But she is really from a monster family - a vampire dad and a werewolf mom. And they had almost given up hope that she would develop supernatural powers. Then one day at school, while fighting over a boy with the spoiled Yakuza boss's daughter Yoko, Ranze discover that she can change into any person or animal she bites into. So that's all I could tell you folks.

I really love this series for it's fantasy, humor, shocking surprises; great animation and also very catchy theme songs too. You know, I was hopin' Ranze & Shun (the male lead) would stay together as couple. If I tell why I said that, it would spoils the series.
