Great Show of the Return of Great Stars

Loved this series as great stars of the past reappear again on stage for a chance to sing one song of their choice with the dream stage of their choice in only 1 take. Being new to watching Korean dramas, I wasn't even familiar with these stars but after watching them really enjoyed their performances.

Actually recognized some of the songs by Toy and was surprised by that. Everyone's opinion will be different but here is my take: There was no contest, it was really for the artist to have a chance to sing again on their dream stage and re-connect with themselves and fans, however, my picks: Overall winner of the best Take 1: RAIN: Best Location chosen: RAIN hands down! Was so nice to see this location and learn about it too.

BEST Dancer, body, singer: RAIN can't believe someone 40 can still look that good. Nice to see someone without tattoos too.

MOST moving song I saw DESPERADO by Yim Jae-beum even if that wasn't the one he chose to sing for the TAKE 1, he sang it while they where giving his bio and just loved it and also his voice.

Most familiar songs: Toy Loved the enthusiasm of all the singers who made their dreams come true and the fans all loved it too.

With age comes reflection and humbleness

What I liked about this format is the intimate, non-commercial (even though Netflix) journey through a superartist eyes and heart. Loss, sorrow, humbleness, trust, competency, hard work and ownership all pass the revenue. I wasn't looking at the show as some kind of concert buildup of an artist that rocking the charts now. No, I was looking at it as a being invited into the artist heart that respects the present. For that reason I wasn't a hard critic on the performances and vocalism. No, I was humbled to be a witness of excellence of the artist but mostly, the person, behind the artist. Thanq.

Yim Jae-Beum

Wow... Daebak. I always wondered what happened to Yim Jae-beum. He really disappeared for 6 years. Tye 3rd episode was the best in this series. The selection of his song "this too,shall pass" has a beautiful and realistic meaning. His audience for Take 1 was perfect. He relates to our emotions and he is down to earth man. I am a nurse. And I do understand the loss of loved ones. Yim Jae-beum existence is precious. Sir Yim Jae-Beum, you are needed by people who have heard your voice and appreciate your presence. I am sorry for your loss sir. You shall meet your beloved wife in Paradise. Please remain strong and your precious daughter is gifted to have you in her life as she is in yours.

There are people who still want to hear your voice and songs... please come back with one more original song as this world is plagued with suffering, we need a voice like yours to help us all get through the day. I play your songs when going to work and heading back home. Your are precious to me and I will always be praying and rooting for you to get back up with smiles.

Only the EP03 and EP04 worth high ratings

I don't want to waste yours and my time to comment on the whole Season 1 episodes, just want to quote the review of "gosilbron" on Oct 16, 2022:

And his FIRST SONG in six years hiatus "Desperado" is one of the BEST songs in English that I've ever heard and so deeply moved. It's even better than Eagle's Glenn Lewis Frey original since it deeper in emotion, feelings, maturity and purity. His voice is God given.

He also sang "Saddle The Wind" on a beach that was also so good. It can be found on youtube.com and I think you'd like it too.

Rain in Episode 4 is also pretty good. He showed us how a young artist so faithful to himself and his fans. A respectful young artist. Salute.

Episode 1 is okay. Episode 2 is nothing but a child's play. The last two episodes are horrible. That female singer's voice is just so mediocre.

Beautifully Done

I really enjoyed all of the artists and the work they put into each of their songs. My 2 favorite were Rain performing at The Blue House. While artists are invited to the White House to perform for Presidents often the public does not see the show. Barack Obama did have cameras when artists performed. The audience was mostly famous African American's & one mentioned that considering that the White House was built by slaves a gathering like this is uncommon and it will probably take a long time for this to happen again. I really enjoyed the Passion of Raina's fans. It had to be a huge treat. I Loved his complete use of the cameras as they followed him through the building & his memory of being there as a small Child. I liked the diverse choices AKMU made as singers with their dancers & with the parachute out of a plane with an AKMU sign. They sound so great together. I did think that the absolute stress of adding jumping out of the airplane was not appreciated as much as it could be because there was not enough time o the clock to really enjoy the impact of what they were doing.
