Quotes

Riley Parks: I don't know... that I can do this.
Evan Parks: Do what?
Riley Parks: Everything. It's all just too much. I mean, I... I... I didn't think I'd be doing it alone. I didn't know it would he this hard. I'm so sorry that I was mean to you. I'm so sorry that I don't know how to relax. I'm just sorry.
Evan Parks: Hey, Riley, look, you don't have to apologize. And you are not alone.
[smiles]
Evan Parks: I'm not going anywhere.
[they look into each other eyes, move closer, and she nestles against him]

at long last kiss
5 May 2017 | by (South Africa) – See all my reviews

While my opinion of the show is kinda riding the see-saw, with the show mostly up in the air, I was glad to see the long- awaited blooming of the romance between Riley and Evan. Research has recently shown me that Jennifer Love Hewitt is actually married to the actor that plays Kyle, and I can just wonder: they look so wrong together on the show??? that's acting of course... but still...

Must say, Colin Egglesfield (as Evan) makes a dashing hero All-American hero in the grand old-school tradition. And male actors who get a compliment from The Raven should frame it, because it is rare that I even bother to comment on male performances.

So, I was cheering for him. And towards the end of this episode, the two protagonists finally share a fiery kiss. Cute Jennifer Love Hewitt, with that long, long hair, and those Bambi eyes, in a clinch with a guy worthy of her.

Alicia Lagano is highly memorable as Selena, the tough as nails rival. Loved the scene in which she was taunting inwardly-cringing Riley by regaling Dr. Mark with their expertise at the art of bettering the lives of their massage parlor customers, all in double intent. Great!

Another great player is the little girl who portrays cute-as-a-button Katie. Oh, the little actress has a difficult name to latch onto. But she is just a find! Steals all the scenes in which she appears.

There is, of course, also something else that occurs at the end of the episode that is long-expected. That guy. But enough of a spoiler here already, watch it yourself.
