A bitt of a strange episode this one after the great fourth episode.
Out of nowhere comes a whole story about a minor character Darren (probably while the powers-that-be decided what they were going to do with actor Hugo Steer and his character Guy after allegations were made against the actor for things that allegedly happened off screen. We are only told he has gone missing) with highs and lows of a character we haven't really had time to care about before now.
It is not totally about Darren as Dave sees Jean with Dilip so I am sure that will be the focus of a future story and, on the smaller side too, Gaz has things to deal with plus developments at the cafe.
What gets me is that is funny when a woman hoses down a nan but you would never see the reverse being done.
It was a slow burner this one but it builds up well towards thd end.
