An interesting case.
Sleepin_Dragon3 September 2022
On death row for the murder of Beulah Jolivet, Deryl Madison is interviewed, he gives his account, and experts give their opinion on the fact that he's on death row.

It's a very interesting episode, one that makes you think, the balance between the crime, and the circumstances. Should Madison be on death row, or should the fragile state of his mental health have been a contributing factor during his sentencing.

As with the last episode, there's a lot more focus on the experts (at least these ones are interesting,) and perhaps not enough time spent with Madison himself, but the case is interesting, and thought provoking enough.

The fact that this is set in Texas makes it all the more interesting, a state that is seen as being much tougher on crime than many others.

A few bits of it were quite hard to catch, so I'd say you do need to concentrate, the subtitles really do help, Deryl has quite a strong accent.

6/10.

Life or death

An interesting episode that definitely asks the question of whether a person deserves to die for their crime or if life in prison is the ultimate punishment. The episode was well documented in terms of relevant interviews and unbiased reporting. Though kind of unnerving how Madison appeared to show no remorse whatsoever for his crime "it was Bubba".

Cheers to a very, very, very, very long review thanks to the new rule established for review character length, courtesy of the IMDb staff. I'm glad to report that you can absolutely trust that this review is credible and relevant based solely on the fact that it contains at least 600 characters.
